The only thing that is bad there is the short gears. My friend got one with almost 300 000kms on it 12 years ago for around 3 000€, and stopped driving it after 2 years with 700 000kms where he wanted something different when he reached 60. I have heard a lot of bad stuff about 3 cylinder diesel engines, but the fact that they were and are still used by Czech police and are being replaced at around 400 000kms speaks for itself. Just maintain it and it will run.
I had one of these when stationed in Germany, the economy was amazing a little short in the gears it bothers me that we don’t see small diesel engines anymore they were performing the a to b base to resident with my partner if i remember right I got about 500 km to a tank with 1 bar still showing , it was about 14 sec to 100km certainly not quick but it did the job well part of me was sad to see it go when we got new orders
