No, it doesnt offer the bold styling of the Nissan Quest or the innovative Swivel N Go rear table and chairs of the Chrysler Town & Country. But it does offer a good driving experience, plenty of versatility and solid value.

I've had two Dodge minivans before I switched to Toyota Sienna and I am glad I did. I've had lots of problems with the Dodge caravans. I am not going back to American brands anymore.

Well now you're screwed because they even make Honda and Toyota cars and trucks here and source parts here as well. It's not as cut and dry as it once was.

245,000 miles on my 2006 sienna xle . Still going strong. Been very reliable. Low maintenance. Does not burn oil. It's really built very good. I'm grateful to own it. Second owner. I bought it used with 235,000 miles for $2600. For Michigan, that's a good deal. Needed timing belt , water pump, bearing and new coolant etc. It had the original belt. That belt should of been changed at 100,000, but wasn't. That cost me $1,200 for all that and the mechanic. Kind of high for my budget. I knew it when i bought it. No rust! Every things working!

I can agree with everything you said in this video. I own a 2006 Toyota Sienna xle limited awd and I absolutely love it it’s the funnest and easiest vehicle I’ve ever driven and it’s my first car and I’m happy with it

Do you still have your Sienna and do you still like it or recommend it? Thinking about getting a 2006 le for 5k and 200k miles. I need more space because my 2004 scion xb is tight now w two toddlers.

This car is extremely durable. I had an accident 4 years ago, I got hit on the side, and only got a bump. The other idiot's car was smoking and leaking oil.

The video says the engine in these 2006 vans was a 3.5 liter V6 but the 3.5 engine was not used until the 2007 model. The engine for 2006 was a 3.3 liter.

True. And I’ll rather work with the 3.3 L 3MZ-FE engine’s timing belt /water pump and worry about using 1 5-quart oil bottle than doing with a larger 3.5 L 2GR-FE engine, with a much intense fight with the water pump, Possible front timing cover leak and using 6.4 quarts of oil.

Agree. It's hard to find good info on more things other than initial specs. We all know the Kia Mini-van is cheaper...but of course there are many many reasons why. A new car is a new car...not many things can go wrong with a Toyota in the long run. Also, the Sienna is a more comfortable ride than the Honda Odyssy, but marginily .

Does anyone else 06 Sienna roll back when on an incline? Does it have hill assist? I just got mine and it did not roll back but now it does. I’m wondering if hill assist was disengaged or whether I can take it in to get something tightened?

@THEPOOFSHOW in your previous comment, you made it sound like the le has swing doors. or no doors at all. you need to make yourself clearer. and the le is the lowest spec model if i can recall. so it would make sense to only have one door.

Anyone on here have major issues with their 2006 Sienna? I want to buy a 2006 le w 200k miles for 5k. Wondering if the Sienna was built like all older Toyotas. I have 2, 19 year old Toyotas and very happy.

I disconnected the power from mine and the doors opened easily. I say instead of hating it, start enjoying yourself with whatever the van has to offer. Why don't you try a 0-60 run? I think you might be surprised....

@meattube4u33 The brakes on the prius are fine, it's just idiots who feel the brake pedal push back because of the ABS get scared. They only had to fix software to make the ABS less agressive. It's not like American cars are any better.

Exactly and that's what I'm getting at! Even a state trooper couldn't think of just switching to neutral because American drivers don't think. And as for valuing you life, then we should ban all of the 1950's american cars with the fins, people certainly die from hitting that and american companies still made them. And then the was the steering rack problems in the GM cars. people don't have time to think when their car swerves into the car right next to them. We should ban GM then, it's not -

Well aparently now they're better drivers. And like I saud it's not like if they don't have time to react, some lady on the news yesterday said that she had 6 miles before she crashed. 6 miles!!!! And all she had to do was switch the car into neutral!!! Then if Toytoa makes a mistake where people have time to do something and you call them junk then what does that make of the GM cars with their steering rack problems or Ford and the axle problems? People can't stop in time if their car -

You don't need NASCAR reflexes, you just need to pay attention. I heard a story of how one driver got to 100mph from 40mph, now as sad as it sounds that person was stupid because Toyotas aren't the fastest cars on earth and it would have taken about 40 seconds for that person to just switch to neutral, you don't even need to press the brakes or anything. And as for the cover up any company would have done the same. There have been cars that are much more dangerous to drive, especialy GM.

- just swerves out of nowhere into the car next to them! Or if the car losses it's wheels and axles and the car flips over! Then with the fatal car crashes, most of those accidents in japan happened where there was a higher concentration of people than in America, because Japan has half of America's population in the size of California.

im not against foriegn cars or anything heck i used to own a 1998 toyota camry very good car but how come all the older foriegn cars like 1986 and older i can hardly find anymore were as many American cars from that era are easier too find and are holding up better too? well just thought id throw that one out there for debate

@optimus280 Why? Because they screw up on one thing? And yes I know that they have the stopping problems but if you just shift the car into neutral the deaths would stop, I've had the carpets on my car slide up and jam the gas full on and I just put the dear in neutral and there I'm still here. If any of tose Americans were smart enough they would all be alive because the recall has been world wide and the deaths only in America. Other companies have had recalls too, most of them American cars.

I have this exact one and its falling apart .I would not recommend it you start having problems with the doors as they are defected and now suddenly stopped running. to many issues with it.

We have a blue 2006 sienna with 170k miles and does just fine. Original engine, tranny, spark plugs, and water pump

Then again, it's only American drivers that crash, this actually started in Europe, and there have been no deaths. All you have to do is switch the car into neutral, you don't even need to push the brakes for that. GM cars are way worse and have had way more recalls than Toyota.

regardless of where it is built the profit goes to an american company not a foreign company.i bought a used mercedes but bought it from an american so the money went to an american not a foreign entity.i would never buy a new foreign vehicle only american.

I still do not trust Honda and Acura Transmission especially paired with all its V6 engine. They are just not reliable, historically. It is getting better today but still not as reliable as Nissan or Toyota

rondhole Not true at all my Honda accord 2002 has 165,000 miles and has never had an issue. My 2008 Acura TL has 102000 miles and has had no issues whatsoever. Nothing just oil changes! Not even air-conditioning or the GPS system. I would say Honda and Toyota are much more reliable than Nissan

You must have not seen all of the recalls for Honda transmissionsm. I was looking at Honda Odyssey vans and when I was typing Honda Odyssey into Google transmission problems was one or the first things that came up. Honda even extended their warranties and were paying portions of the cost for transmission raplacements. Not just in odyssey vans but in most things that were using V6s between 02-06

I like the Toyota Sienna, but if I wanted to buy a minivan I would buy the Dodge Grand Caravan or the Honda Odyssey. I think the Honda Odyssey's my favorite minivan. Yes the girl did mention the Honda Odyssey in this video. She mentioned it at 5:20 .
