2007-2011 Honda CR-V Transmission Fluid Filter Change

I seen you working outside with Christmas decorations and really got jealous of those who live in the south.

Another tool you can get is various sized rubber plugs. When I did this not much comes out of either hose in the first place and the one side that had some coming out I just plugged it. Never liked the approach of clamping a hose to close it. Regular pliers gently twisting hose almost always breaks free a hose from a nipple but that tool you show is cool. You should have ran new ATF fluid through since you had hose disconnected anyway. Start up car drain 1 quart in bucket turn off fill repeat. Easy Peasy. Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for posting the part number! It is nearly impossible to find on the Honda parts website because they put it under the section with the radiator/coolant system, I guess because it is closer to that than the actual transmission. Basically impossible to find without the part number - even the guys at my local Honda dealer couldn't find it!

It's actually accessible through the radiator drain opening. I personally hate trying to take all the fragile, brittle plastic buttons off.

Comprehensive. I do this at the same time as a fluid replacement while the fluid is draining. Also check fluid levels after this!

Good job. Where did you buy the pliers that separates the hose from the filter? Edit: Nevermind, just saw them on Amazon and ordered one.

Do you normally change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles or every 3 years, and when you change the transmission fluid, do you also change the transmission fluid filter (Honda 25430-PLR-003) at the same time? Thanks!

Congratulations.do you use transmission oil additive for the transmission.my car sounds "smack" when I take P to R at first start in the morning, but what could be the reason why it does not come in the next replacement.. should i use additives

I have a 2010 Accord . Just got trans fluid changed at 140k miles. About 70k without one I was told by Eagle Transmission that it would cost $179 to change out or clean the filter. Wtf? I can't believe that
