Thank you so much! It makes me feel better to see a video of a regular person (not a professional mechanic) before I attempt something like this myself. Glad to report I got it all done today and everything works as it should!
Thank you for putting up this video. A friend of mine has an 07 and the driver side window switch has gone bad. She is retired and on a fixed income. I thought I had to replace all the switches on that arm rest. Thanks to your video I can now do it for $26 instead of $71. A big difference. Thanks again.
Great video. Love how this seemed like an adventure for you figuring it out as you went. Brave man, you are. I'll watch a few more vids before trying myself.
What a great job of explaining and showing how to do it! I have a 2007 Tucson though, but I bet they're similar enough that I can replace it just like on your Sonata. Thanks man!
I put the new switch in, and it does everything except roll the front passenger window up (consistently). The front passenger switch always rolls it up though. I think there must be a bad connection between the new driver's switch and the front passenger motor. Unless if the new switch is bad, but I think that's unlikely.
I had a similar issue in my 09 with the lock switches. I just blasted the crack around the switches with QD electronics cleaner and screwed around with the switches until they started working better again.
