Excellent tutorial! Congratulations for your work. I have to replace mine which has 200000 kms. Do you use a particular tool to mount the mechanism? SAC version or not? Thank you for your answer
How long did this take? My 2007 F2' coming up for a clutch. Obviously I'm a home mechanic and the last clutch I did was on a Mk3 Capri! Lot easier, prop off, box off, clutch on, Bob's-your-uncle, but just a ballpark figure might be useful. Took me about 2 hours to change the front spring so I'm thinking save a weekend for it?
one very noob question... is flexplate replacement also standard or not? i have freelander 2, 2008, automatic and it shifts a bit hard, especially from second to third gear, and i can also feel downshift when i'm...for example slowly slowing down from highway exit... had been done oil change in gearbox, no metal in old one :)
I’ve only ever known flexi plate to be fitted on very early Citroen or Renault. If you meant Dual mass flywheel then yes it’s a must you get it replaced together with the clutch kit.
How da f**k are you lifting them gearboxes out and back in again on vans and land rovers on your own lol? Let alone doing them on axle stands, fair play. Ya mustn’t skip arm day lol 😂
