thank you sir! I've been putting this job off because I thought I was going to have to take the dash apart. you saved my life for this hot Houston summer.
I had to replace this exact actuator on a 2010 GMC Sierra. Blowing heat on driver's side when set on AC. Passenger side was getting cold air. This bad actuator was also parasitic draining my battery as it would be dead if I didn't drive the truck for several days. It took me about 3 weeks to realize this and finally order a replacement actuator.
@@mrmotofy i had a amp meter in between the battery cables and pulled fuses one at a time until the draw went away and it was the hvac fuse plus that actuator didn’t work so replaced it and fixed the draw
Hey, so I have good heat in 2008 silverado. I'm driving along, and i get cooler air on the driver's side, and hot air continues on the passenger side. Yesterday, it happened. I got home turned truck off for about 10 min and started it hot air on both sides. Did it again today turned temp down all the way, then back up twice, and it was back to clowing hot. Any ideas where i should start to look.
My driver side is blowing hot air while the passenger is blowing cold air , I changed this blend door and changed both in the dash behind the glove box and the one under driver side. Still blowing hot air, what else could be the fix? I was fine with it not fix during the winter but it’s getting hot again and don’t want to be getting off work from a hot day into a hot truck haha
Make sure the door is free then make sure the actuator turns in your hand plugged in hot to cold or cold to hot if doesn’t move then replace dash control
My passenger side is blowing cold but my driver side is not blowing cold at all, more like room temperature air...what actuator should I change out, please help anyone!!!
