+TheItalianDNA I just measured from the floor to the rear arm suspension bolt as you show in the video, I get about 1/4" difference. I also confirmed the tire pressure was the same. So the frame is not level to the ground. There is however a 1/2" difference measuring from the floor to the wheel well. So there may be a couple of factors at play here. Regardless, shame on Toyota for not addressing the problem. They say it's within spec and doesn't affect safety of the vehicle but as I said in my earlier post, I can feel this leaning when turning right. There's more body roll to the right than the left and this is a direct result of the suspension not being even. I think this is a serious safety issue.

Have you checked fuses? Is compressor running? Has SUV been in accident or flooded?

Yes, you can. I don't know if anything is different between air suspension Sequoia vs none air suspension.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I have watched your three videos, perhaps I missed it. It would just seem that the sequoia sits about 1” higher than usual. I had it at the dealer for a service and asked. They said it was ok. I’m just curious to what your manual states should be an acceptable ride height in the “N” position. Thanks again. Why do you think it sits higher? Has anyone been doing something to the suspension? My sequoia could be different than yours, there so many different variations in per service manual, its crazy.

Hi again , No, I haven’t had anyone work on it. However, the right side sits at 39” while the driver side sits at 38”. That seems about 2” too high at 39”. I was just curious if you would be able to give the spec height on a Toyota Sequoia Platinum when the air suspension is in the “N” mode.

Please subscribe. First, vehicle position sensors were not properly set up, I took it to the dealer and I watched them doing it and they gave up and told me that they can't do anything anything else. By the way I have 3 videos on RU-vid about my air suspension repair. I took solenoid valve a part and some lines and found good amount of dirt in the system. I cleaned everything and adjusted sensors per Toyota service manual. After repair and adjustment everything start working normally.

Are you looking to replace your shocks in back?

@@repairvehicle yes I check the bags and the Passenger side its leak so I need shocks and bags or springs

What did you decide to do?

is your Air compressor running when you try lowering or raising vehicle? sequoia engine would have to be on running in order for compressor to run.

+repairvehicle I drove it it bounced all around the road the truck was on I looked under the truck felt both bags they were deflated both so I guess the compressor isn't on or possibly a leak?

+repairvehicle also to set the ride height only goes into low and neutral won't go into high

+Iam Moetic, based on what you have told me, the compressor is working. it's lowering and inflating to normal position. the problem is not with compressor. if you had an Air leak somewhere, then your vehicle will never stay in normal position, because your compressor will not run continuously it will overheat and stop working. There could be couple reasons for bouncing around. first your shocks could be worn-out due to high mileage, age and they are not doing their job anymore. second reason, height control sensor not working properly or needs adjusted.

Maryann Hunwick, Thank you for asking and subscribing. If you hear that air is leaking that means, air compressor is pumping air into air bag. Since your suv is 2005, the more likely cause will be the air bags. Because air bags made of rubber, with age rubber develops cracks and starts loosing air. However, you can check your air lines to see if any of them leaking air at the connections. Have your suv ever been driven off roads or has been hit in the side or rear?

What do you mean the air suspension does not work on bumpy roads?

I'm experiencing the exact same problem with my 2005 Sequoia. Reason I chimed in is because my car was hit/rear-ended. Just wondering if you could explain that coincidence further, to help my troubleshooting. Thanks and great vid.

What issues do you have?

repairvehicle Same as others mentioned pretty much. Truck was bouncing/bottoming out very badly over any kind of bump in the road. Brought it in to a local shop and explained the issue. Told them it could possibly be air leaking from bags. Get a called back from them and they say no codes came up, and the bags themselves didn’t seem to be leaking because they were blown up “really tight” with air. While they had the car, I did some quick online research and the symptoms that related most were issues with some values (solenoid?) not deflating/inflating properly. So... I take it to Toyota because I figured it was just a leak or air ride issue. After dropping it off they call back immediately and say “It’s not the air suspension, but the shocks”. They did say I could replace the entire air suspension/compressor kit for 2.3k + labor if I wanted, but since they already told me it wasn’t the main issue, I declined. Told them to just fix shocks and they did. Went to pick car back up and it drove fine leaving the the dealership. Next day I strap a couple fence panels to the roof and boom... it’s bottoming out/bouncing badly just like the did before I got the shocks replaced. Sorry for the long post, thanks for replying.
