Tuner Motorsports has the part. Its called a "Valve Cover PVC Kit Only". (N12 engine) It comes with the correct cover and everything you take off. $29.95 for everything plus shipping. Better quality than the Russia one and its shipped from the USA. Hope this helps. From your neighborhood Marine.

Wow, times have changed. You can get the entire complete valve cover for around $90 now.

You should definitely correct your video title as others have pointed out, this is the N12 not the N14.

I have a 2012 mini base and the pcv hose has been cracked for a while just changed the starter and broke it more now I'm sure that's what caused my missfires. Hope that's helpful to someone

There are also other membranes inside valve cover, so replacing top one only won’t fix it in complete as I was told.

Can you test for vacuum at the diaphragm atmospheric vent to determine diaphragm leakage?

Enjoying the variety of vids lately... Could you inc. instruction and admonition RE: beam adjustment, when featuring LED replacement bulbs for headlights? My car has bi- xenons with Halogen high beam assist and flash to pass, (with 1/2 power as daytime running lights). They cycle and self align every time the motor starts but if I forget to dim them, (oops), they blind oncoming traffic. The worst offenders are p/u trucks with aftermarket lift kits and LED headlights that are misaligned or thoughtlessly aimed to give them the best illumination without regard to others.

Replacement PCV Valve diaphragm, spring, and cover are $27 on rock auto.....

That pcV valve should be changed annually it’s no different then a diaphragm in a regulator I had a small tear in mine making use a quart of oil a tank full of gas .

Nathan’ DIY Garage, was the MINI producing a squeaky noise while at idle, before replacing this PCV part?And once you increased the RPM would the squeaky noice disappear?

Hey man could you please explain how you got off the cap to take off the Ccv or pcv valve cover off? How did you get down to the clips that are down behind the plastic?

Hi! Thanks for the video. I'm experiencing the same issue with my 2009 R56 N14. I wonder if there's a fix aside from replacing the entire cover... I also wonder if anyone tried tapping a hole to fit a universal PCV and just plugging the OEM hole. Is this even possible?

This isnt an N14, but since yours is, you would need to decarbon the valves and just cap off the pcv on the valve cover. Notorious for oil ingestion from the pcv system causing excessing carbon build up on the intake valves. Decarbon the valves via walnut shell blasting and the long term fix is installing an oil catch can to keep the oil vapor from reentering the intake system. This plumbs into the right side of the valve cover looking at the engine. The pcv port on the left side of the valve cover can be completely blocked. This prevents the build up and helps with oil consumption. The carbon causes cold start misfires and loss of power. Very Very common. Hope this helps.

I might add...people concerned with deleting the PCV system...The N14 is a turbocharged engine and creates more blowby, which creates more oil vapors reentering the intake. The PCV is very inefficient for these turbo engines and results in gross amounts of oil collecting in your intercooler, intake, and piping. These cars are prone to issues, luckily everyone loves them so long term fixes to common issues can be applied to make it a much more dependable vehicle

Nathan, I went to that Russian web site to purchase one of those valve cover kit for $31 plus dollars and I could not navigate to the point of purchase with a visa or mastercard. How did you complete your order? did you have to call or were you able to complete your order online?

Hey Man, I have a 2011 Mini Cooper S Clubman. 50/50 of the time when i crank up I get a cloud of white smoke. I can't tell if it is coming out when I drive, but when I'm idling, its pretty clear. I can confirm my antifreeze level is maintaining. I don't see any other fluid leaks other than the AC. My oil seems burn through fast though. I changed my oil last week and I am still getting the smoke on startup. Performance doesn't appears to be lacking that much. Do you think this could be head gasket or PCV Valve related? Or any other ideas? I have a new set of spark plugs coming soon and a compression tester.

hey Nathan, i have a peugeot 308 with a similar engine of the MINI , its the EP6, and it has rough iddle when cold, some blue smoke comes out with i let it iddle and take off from the lightstop, and it eats much OIL, do you think it could be the PCV valve? it has new spark plugs IRIDIUM and does not give me any codes, the car has 98000 KM on it and im the only owner, what do you think?

The N14 is a turbo charged engine and there is no PCV diaphragm on the N14 unfortunately one has to replace the entire valve cover at $400. What a bunch of crap. If mine is bad it will be the second time it has been replaced. If I didn't love my JCW so much I would sell it.

No need to replace the valve cover. Install PCV delete caps or install a boost tap.

its actually a citroen/peugeot PSA engine. thats why they have so many issues.
