This worked for me!!!!! I still have to push in the key and it's not perfect but I can start my car in the first try, before it would take me upwards of 100 times to start it. It's kinda like the way it was 3 years ago. Thanks for the video!!!!!

It works! For the people that say that it doesn't work, you must replace the entire part.

This same thing happened to me & I went & bought the part (got mine for $25) & did like you and it started right up no problems. Now I'm just trying to get the plastic cover parts back on the steering wheel haha. Easy to remove but a bitch to get back on. But yea, thanks bro!

Whats the name of the part and was your HV battery likely dead too? Im not sure if its this or my HV battery is drained from sitting too long. 2008

I bought one on Amazon for $23.00 but it didn't help. I returned it for another one and that one DIDN'T work either!! I put the old one in both times and it will start every now and then but the problem won't fixed. It's not hard to change the part either but you have to make sure that's really the problem. I'm going to have to try buying the part of the local auto part store and see if their parts work better. Fingers crossed.
