agreed. now its just random riders of relatively equal ability with the winner on a given day getting a favorable start position. there will be a decline in motogp interest if it continues.
I disagree that the current field lacks talent, but I do agree that Vale absolutely bossed that 2008 season especially after losing out twice in a row and going up against generational talents.
@@____________________ok having today much closer riders and bikes does not mean that they are better now....I think that today the top riders are 2: MM & Quartararo, the rest are just good drivers
I was there for this race, at turn 5. The wind got so strong it pulled the air fence up from the ground and deposited it on the SAFER barrier on the outside of oval turn 2. The public address people had a great sense of humor about it, they played things like "Rock You Like a Hurricane", and the jumbo spectator screens popped up little sayings such as "We don't like Ike". It truly was a unique event, just a shame it never ran the full course.
Thanks for bringing back a nostalgic race when I was in my childhood. No money can even buy such a good memory! I've been searching for long but no full version, until now. Respect!
Probably the race with the worst weather conditions of the 20 years of Motogp. All good but a special memory of Nicky's great race, one hairs away from victory.
its 2021 here fans,i watched this great race back then on bbc tv 2008, live, we all lost nicky , in 2017, and my son garry in 2018. r i p garry and nicky.
The infield track? That gets plenty of use. Indycar, SVRA, the occasional expensive club event. Now the turn 4 hairpin and the horseshoe (turn 10-12) don't get much use these days, and that really is a shame. MotoGP should ditch CotA and come back to Indy.
@@xSoccerxCorex MotoGP and Indy could never come up with a good time for the series to be there. Dorna wanted the American rounds to be together on the schedule to simplify logistics, but Indy has its own priorities. CotA has to be early in the season to avoid Texas heat, but early in the season is 500 prep time for Indy. When the Speedway opens up, Texas is too hot to race. In the end they dropped Indianapolis for CotA.
Was there for the race weekend, first time at the Brickyard. Riders complained about the resurfacing, lots of puddles on the track with some hairy moments. Thankfully they red flag the race as it was very dangerous with a reported nearby tornado.
There is absolutely no race track on Earth that is more prestigious. Indianapolis is one of a kind. Hope to see Motorcycles back on the bricks someday. I was in Oval turn 4 for this race
And in 2008 Lorenzo make his debut in MotoGP with Factory Yamaha Team!!! Not satelite team.... What a suprise...... The copypaste guy says marc only lucky get straighted in Repsol Honda but Lorenzo also make his debut in Factory team 🤣🤣🤣 what a clown he is talking about....
@@ahnafhisanws6982 Btw, why should we care about that clown anyway? I mean come on, everyone knows that Vale has massive success in MotoGP but he can't be the one who is labelled as the GOAT (Though we can't deny that Vale is one of the GOATs in the MotoGP history). Also about him, do you agree that one of the worst copypasted comments from him saying that Marc will get amputated? Tbh even some Marc-haters would punch him in the face when they heard that.
@@NoLuckJKMY807 Yep.... Worst his stupid copies comments is Marc get amputated but that just a fake news..... Alex Marquez says Marc will full recovery in 3 months or 6 months
I guess you forgot all his bashing and crashing. How about when he nailed Marc's break lever with his knee to intentionally wreck him? He was out of control for a while till he realized it was time to retire. And don't forget. He killed a man during the height of his recklessness..
@@deepwood4Marc menyentuh Valentino kemudian secara alami Valentino merespon dengan lututnya, anda lihat sekarang sudah berapa banyak pembalap yang menjadi korban konyol marck🤭.
The Kentucky Kid. Love it. Wish it was dry or we had been able to see what wet tire conservation could have done if the course dried out. Unbelievable that they would race on two wheels in those "truly atrocious conditions". The most exciting racing in the world.
All the names. Riding In the tail of a hurricane at 180mph. Major pucker factor. Welcome Spies. Hayden in the groove. Red flagged with 7 laps to go. Dr. schools the boyz again.
If MotoGP was still using 990s at this time Nicky would have won this race by a mile. The switch to 800s forced many riders to change their styles due to the nature of the bikes
I dont care what country a riders from..If a rider has the talent, charisma, right bike, the overall packaging that rider will be marketable and thats what Moto is..Companies build these race bikes that win championships with the above mentioned..It sells bikes to every kid that wants to be the Rockstar on 2 wheels..Moto is entertainment but it really boils down to showcasing a winning bike for the everyday riders to add to wish list..
damn i do miss them racing at Indy and Laguna Seca wish they would come back to either track when they come to the U.S. not gonna lie not the biggest fan of COTA
@@martingaleana1493 From everything I heard everyone was happy with the Indianapolis events, the speedway and MotoGP. The excuse I'm seeing is the expense of going to the United States for one round in the summer and then going back to another continent.
