This vid helped me troubleshoot the starting system but what fixed the car was repairing the neutral safety switch ground that was rotted away inside the lug on the drivers side of the motor under the intake housing. 15mm nut holding on the ground wires.

2008 Pontiac g6 2.4 dtc P0622 gen f terminal circuit failure. Alternator kills batter constantly, won't charge. Diagram leads from starter to regulator to ecm. Traced wires back to fuse box. New connector has 16awg, old wires have 22 awg. Will I be able to connect the two and will this solve my charging problem?
'07 G6. No start. No crank. Thanks for yore diagram! Very helpful. Jumped upper left pin to starter pin - starter cranks. Jumped ECM pin to ground - 12+ volts while holding key at start position. Used two different relays and it doesn't crank. What's next? Thank you!
learned a lot. when i jump relay it turns over but will not crank and if i don’t bypass the relay when i try to crank it does nothing and odometer says error what’s my next steps
My 05 G6 is stuck with lock and car light. Either my Anti theft control module is bad or the ignition starter l switch. How do I know which one it Is or is there an easy work around to bypass the passive Alarm system?
My G6 wont start after it gets hot. Cools off then starts. Heard it is the 86 pin on relay that loses its ground. If i have someone with me to turn key i can wiggle fuse box and starts even when hot. Any ideas, thanks in advance

I juggled the ignition cylinder a lot trying to get a broken piece out. Locksmith God Key piece out but couldn't reset the system because of lack of communication to the Alarm Module BCC or Bcm under center console

I got an 08 Grand Prix and I'm having a car theft problem it got stolen 6 months ago and I just got it back and then I bought an 07 and it got stolen a month ago and I just got that back so I got two cars but the black ones better I want to keep that one but I want to hook up a kill switch any idea where the best place to do it without messing with the computers so I only know where the kill switch is and I can activate it when I get out of the car so nobody can start it so it can't get stolen
You ever figure it out? My brother in law has a g6 he stopped at a gas station and car wouldn't start to leave. First issue out of blue. Tried boost with cables then different battery. With the different battery the headlights were bright but dash lights went crazy flickering. And had a clicking sound even after taking key out lol. Thx
@@crystalbennett8012 it’s the fuse block under the hood. The starter relay ground goes bad. Replace the fuse block or run a ground wire from the starter relay
I'm currently dealing with a g6. Has a hot battery hooked up to starter and ground wires with good connection, but zero power in car. No alarm, no horn, no key on power, nothing.
Awesome overview. So I'm troubleshooting a no crank condition. On the green connector below the ignition switch, the white/black wire on the farthest left has no voltage in on position and neither does the second wire next to it. Is that a bad ignition switch or bcm? Also, if I jump the starter relay it will crank. Also, swapped relay and checked relay to find it doesn't energize when turning the ignition switch to the start/crank position.
@@PivotGrowth yes, it was a bad bcm. I went to the junkyard and found one with the same part number and it resolved my issue. I did have to run a crank relearn.
@@putitback4789 it adjusts the crank sensor to function with the PCM. You'll need a scanner that has that functionality or you'll have to take it to the dealer.
I have a Pontiac g6 with an intermittent no crank when car is warmed up it will run fine. It will not crank after being shut down while warm. While warmed up I can force starter to engage it is strong, no start though. However If car is cooled of you can start it and kill it as ma y times as you want.
Same issue here. I have a pontiac 2008 g6. No problem until 2021 now. I start the car and run it on highways even for an hour. But when i stop the car for maybe 20 seconds, the engine won’t run. I have to crank the key 4-5 times before it runs again. Or if i use my remote starter it will start w/0 any problem. Do you know what’s the problem? Thanks.
I am having this EXACT issue with my 2009 Pontiac G6. I can run this car all day long, take it on trips etc BUT I cannot turn it off. If I turn it off it will take anywhere from 45 minutes in cooler weather up to 3 hours in hot weather before it will crank again. In hot weather I can only drive about 2 miles before it will not start if I turn it off. We replaced the starter relay and checked the fuse that it next to it which is shown in this video but the car still does this!! Also I did use the grease on the control body connection thing that's located on the passenger side in the fuse box by your left foot. WHAT ELSE CAN I CHECK??? WHO HAS SUCCESSFULLY FIXED THIS PROBLEM??
Battery alternator and starter are brand new I was driving on the highway all of sudden my speedometer dropped to zero my rpm dropped my gas gauge everything my cluster instrument was non responsive my brightness and my signal lights still work but they would not pop up on my dashboard my car was still running but soon as I cut it off I got a no crank no start and my engine light and anti theft light will pop up then some times my mileage but it goes off and the engine light and anti theft stays on I noticed when I hit my lock my car don’t even make the ding sound but the doors still locks and the horn activates just fine so I left it alone the next day I come out it cranks just fine the dashboard everything on the cluster works the gauges responded well so it ran for a little bit then boom my dash lights started tripping and the engine light and anti theft light remained on everything still worked my horn my high beams my turn signal but it just want popping I continue to turn the key no crank no start but my lights keep flickering on and off but the engine and anti theft light stayed on then I noticed while my door was open I wasn’t even hearing the chime bells sound when the key was in the ignition so I left it alone and it just decides to let me crank it whenever it won’t too it stays running whenever I get it to start I be on the highway all the time even if I can’t tell how fast I’m going or where the temperature or my gas or any of that is at but soon as I turn the car off it’s a done deal no crank no start can anyone give me some help I had issues with the starter in the pass where one of my starter wires had to be rewired not the one that goes directly to the battery but I think the one that runs from the starter to the fuse box or directly to the ecu I forgot but when the wire was off I was driving and my battery wouldn’t stay charge I thought it was the alternator battery etc cause it would let me jump it off and it would start and drive but hears the weird part without that wire before I rewired it when I would jump my car off it would run and all the lights on the dashboard cluster everything worked but after driving it for a while everything would shut off except the engine light and anti theft light then eventually the car would shut off and die to point where I have to actually take it to get the battery charged brand new it wouldn’t take a jump or nothing after it gets charged it repeats the same thing it runs does lights goes off comes on etc soooo I rewired the wire to my starter and everything worked it was back to normal now I’m getting a no crank no start unless the car decides to let me can anyone help me out is it something with one of the relay fuses I know it has something to do with a short circuit somewhere I have an 08 G6 GT 3.5L
