Thanks Steve for bringing back the "I should have bought one when it was around...". I really should have bought a 2010-2012 Saab 9-3 TurboX and/or SportCombi Aero when my Mk4 GTI turned 8yo. But hindsight is 70/40 and the past is in the past, so I should just let it go. Still an awesome car, despite Saab quirks, if you are willing to take on a 10yo+ Saab that probably has had multiple owners...

Something I wish all cars had that Saabs did: Night Panel mode to ease stress on the eyes at night. Would be incredibly easier to keep an eye on speed but turn off all other unnecessary night lighting and infotainment screen at the same time.

Miss my wife's 1989 Saab 900...! For an extra $800 you got the 900S which included a Sunroof and ABS. Great car until it needed fixing of course.

Ugggg...I miss Saab! Unique but beautiful designs. GM should have sold it to the same company that bought Volvo. The 9.4x and 9.7x were ahead of the time! And 9.5 most recent redesign was awesome

I had a 9-3 aero. The price point was a little too reaching in the twin turbo for me. That along with poor mileage kept me apprehensive but it showcased what GM could do with a chassis if it wasn't for greed. That it shared a chassis with the Malibu speaks volumes. Crazy that Saab had to basically disobey the beam counters at GM to get it done

It’s taken almost a decade, but there are FINALLY a few brands making cars with interior/exterior styling that comes close to rivaling SAAB Alfa Romeo, BMW, and Volvo. Too bad they mostly start at twice the price :|

The Saab exterior and interior have aged gracefully. This car sure would've benefitted from an 8sp though.

@@stevehammes ...hey Steve, a local Mazda dealer, to me (Beavercreek, OH) has a red Prowler on their pre-owned lot...proudly displayed front and center on their raised car car ramp. Happy shopping...

A couple of years ago, a clay model (I think) of the new 9-3 popped up. This was after Saab went completely bye-bye. So it was after the whole 9-3 based EV went bust. That model was supposed to be the new 9-3 if Saab survived. It was styled by the same guy who did the Ford GT. It was a 5 door hatch and looked like a modern Saab 900. But too bad Saab went under. I think if Saab survived and the model went into production, it would've been a hit. Oh scratch that because of the whole current CUV craze.

mx5hong - I think you’re referring to the 9-3 Phoenix. It would have been a great looking car. No exaggerated body lines, an elegant appearance with just the right amount of Saab quirkinesses. Too bad it never went into production.

Hondas Accord Coupe V6 had a more luxurious cabin and still kept up with the pack. Saab was destined to fail

@@La-yt1wr i concur.. However i was talking about the cabin . it was a huge letdown for what could've have been a beautiful car. The interior was bullshit.
