In this video, I remove my 09 BMW 520D E61 front bumper, to have it repainted.
It´s not a hard process but you need to be careful with the side tabs. Check the video and see it for yourself.

Hello i know that this comment is added one year after the upload of this video, but this video actually came in handy to help me on removing the front bumper on my E61 currently working on trying to engine swap it with the v10 from the M5 Manual trans and everything also gonna add new coilovers and shock absorbers to the suspension along with new brake pads and rotors

Very informative video! I was looking for the upper radiator blinds and how to dismantle them for replacement, and this video has confirmed to me that i need to remove the bumper. How long did it take you to remove the front bumper by yourself?

You take it in about 20 minutes. It’s really easy.

hello sir, very informative video. have a question if you paint the pdc sensors with the bumper, are there no problems with the sensors? then they cannot work 100% right? Thank you for your reply greetings from Bavarian

You can paint them if necessary. No problem at all.

hey. nice video but I did not understand the part with the bolts under the plastic wheel cover. ....so do you need to remove those in order to get the bumper out or not?

Hi. You need to remove 2 of them. Check the video from the minute 4:10 and you will understand clearly the bolt pattern inside and the 2 bolts (10mm) you need to remove.
