No worries man. I rode this yoshi exhaust for about 70 hours before I sold the bike and I never repacked it but I definitely should have at about 40 hours if I had wanted to keep the noise down as it was quite loud at the end. It helps slightly with performance too if you repack. Its not too complicated. If u search Yoshi repack on youtube there is a vid that explains it on a similar exhaust. Your bike will sound awesome.I live in london now not oz and miss riding bikes like crazy..happy riding!
@CRF150man06 Hey man, no I didn't need to jet this bike as it uses EFI (electronic fuel injection) not a carburetor so it essentially jets itself. Even if you gain or drop altitude it will adjust the injection.
No bog at all imo, it has fuel injection so its instant throttle. I have ridden it a heap of times and it has great low to mid power with the yoshi pipe.
Sup man thanks for watching. I didn't re-map or anything when I put this pipe on, nor on the other EFI bikes I have had. The efi adjust air fuel mixtures automatically but if you have the option to re-map the ECU im sure u could find minor gains over not mapping. In terms of durability I never had a problem with a Ti pipe but i don't ride bush nor race where u get rocks launched at it.If u want strength I would go stainless.Are u in OZ or NZ? i have this exact pipe up 4 sale currently.$450 ono
@conrad573 This is my best mates bike but im 100% he has never had any problems, its done 25 hours now and hasn't even needed a valve clearance. He does do the oil and oil filer at regular intervals and cleans the air filter after every ride which helps keep the motor strong. I have the 2010 (video on my profile) model and they are very reliable. Let me know if you have any other q's. Peace
I sometimes do long trails but ride mainly local MX tracks.This exhaust is still good for long trail rides although I did mention last time if you want somthing a little stronger go for stainless if u plan on riding alot of trail just incase one of your mates throws a rock at your header or u hit something.U cant go wrong with PC,FMF, Yosh or Akra but from my experience yosh pipe would b good 4 trail as improves alot off the bottom end.hope that helps! welcome to ask more question's.

hey did you notice a big hp difrence with this yoshi pipe cuz i hear yoshi and pro circuite dont make a diffrence but i had a yoshi on my quad and loved it.
@atv110drifting I am from Melbourne Australia... a very long way from Slovenia. akrapovič are renound for one of the best motorbike exhausts in the world and they are very very famous!! James stewart (best mx/sx rider in the world) uses them, they also are massive here in the road bike industry. You can buy KTM's with akrapovič exhausts from the factory too. i have owned an akrapovič system and the build quality is amazing and i love the carbon fibre tips. are they cheap where you live?
@TheHammer209 they handle well. the 2008 CRF was known as the best bike of the 450's and is a known kick arse beast. the down side is they are heavier than a 250f. It all depends on how big you are and how good a rider you are. I would honestly go a 250f.. I have another video of my old 250f on here. I would still ride a 250f if i wasnt 6'3 and 200 pounds. Look at the pros like Porcel, Canard and Wilson.. they ride 250f's only 1 second a lap slower than the pro 450fs. hope that helps.peace
@mach1stang310hp there is heaps of difference!!! i know its hard to tell from the vid but its alot louder and really clappy compared to the sort of thump of the stock pipe.
cheers mate, real helpful info! got me a stainless/aluminum for the exact reason for strength on the trails and the gains. i don't need to re pack the exhaust every 10 hours or so though right? say on the owners sheet it came with to do so. that's just for the AMA type pros ay. cheers for the responses :)
if u r new to 450s than they r all going to kick your ass. u hear the pros talk about the diff brands in comparison and which ones r the fastest. in reallity for a novice or amateur rider like myself. the diff between the bikes in terms of power and powerband is minor. cause they r all torque monsters and have more than enough power for the average mortal.
hey man, when you installed this exhaust did you have to re map it or anything? also is the titanium header a good way to go of durability or is the stainless steel header stronger? cheers.
@colemanktm yeah there is a def noticeable difference.. have you read the motocross action mag 2009 crf450 pipe review?? worth the read. My opinion of the yoshi pipe is it gives more low to mid...its loud as hell too... I have full pro circuit ti4r system on my 2010 crf450.. i have another vid.. that pipe has close to standard bottom end and better mid and heaps up top..
do you ride trail rides or anything? i saw you said in the previous text ï don't race"so is this exhaust good for trail rides and long rides in forest and not specific racing? cheers mate.
@mach1stang310hp I would say yes but i know alot of guys who race even leave the stock pipe. It looks fly and decreases the weight by a kg. I would invest the money on suspension tuning. Do .48kg springs in the forks and lower the rear shock. I have a procircuit pipe on my 2010 crf450r and i really like it.
@SuperHondaCRFrider Yeah pretty much but mostly bottom and Mid. I have a pro circuit pipe on my new bike and that def has more top. check the review of pipes on motocross action mags website. if you google 2009 crf450r exhaust comparison you will find it on the list a few down. good luck!!
@JACF7427 hey mate, ur LED is totally normal.It always lights up on initial start up 4 a few seconds,if it doesn't go off I would be worried.im pretty sure its a warning light from the EFI saying its not quite ready 2 go and it is assessing the altitude & the air flow.Once its off u r ready 2 rock! You will notice after riding 4 a while if u stop the engine & restart it the light will come one only for like half a second not like the few seconds on start up! how r u finding the bike?
@jamesktmbrown Hey bro, I recon it made more bottom to mod than top.. the pro circuit i have on my new bike has more top and less bottom but it depends how you ride. There is a review on the new somwhere if you search 2009 CRF 450 exhaust comparison there is an in depth review of all the pipes.. including HP figures.. good luck
@jasonbonnici05 Hey mate. You can just put it on and go if you like. I did and it seemed fine. I took it to my mechanic about a month ago and he recons it needed a little remapping as it was running a little lean i think he said. A remap couldn't hurt but unless your a racer I wouldn't worry about it. Try it without the remap and see what you think
@kx10023 I spent $1000 AUD in Australia on it but you can find them for like $800-900 on ebay. if ur in the states ur in luck cause they are made there and are way cheaper.
I just bought a Yoshimura RS4 for my fuel injected CRF450R, i have not yet installed it. I just wanted 2 know if i have to re-map the bike. Or do i just put the exhaust on & go. Thanx
@mach1stang310hp no probs. I dont really know much but i have done alot of research. There is a really good exhaust review for the 2009 crf450s. Go to moto cross action mag .com and then go through bike tests and its on the second or third page. Its the best review and tests all the pipes. Good luck
