I have a 2011 ABS model for about a year as well, I've done around 8000 KM on it, long rides - it took me over a Balkan Tour with several countries, it's a jack of all trades type of machine - I really enjoy the grunt, it feels like a diesel powered tractor - easy to wheelie and fool around but certainly didn't had a problem carrying me and a passanger for very long rides (500-600km / day) with baggages and all that. The only thing I would like for it to have is more top speed as mine tops out at around 200KM/h - but it gets there fast enough to put a grin on your face everytime! Certainly not a beginner bike, it's my 5th KTM, had a few EXC supermotos and 690 SM's as well - riding for almost 20 years now. I would like to trade the 990 for a 1290 but probably I'll keep this one for another year or two as I really enjoy it!
