K&N is the best... Just bought a gts 08 and planning to install this kit. I also have a 328 I BMW coupe with K&N for 2 years now and encountered no problem at all. Injen is good but not for rainy weather. Thanks for the post
@ZeroBoy4ever You can get them on ebay for around 200$. You can install it yourself, its bery easy. If you go to a shop they will charge you about 95$.
@shawnwayne23 Yeah K&N makes a filter for your car. just go to there website and enter your vehicle in and it will show you what model fits your car. As for other aftermarket parts you can put on your car, you can put rims, tint your windows, get a better exhaust system. it all depends on how much money you want to spend.
Hey man I have a 2014 Lancer GT & I just wanted to know if after the installation or in the long run you got any dashboard lights from air sensors or any of that fron feeding too much or anything like that? let me know please & thank you!
k&n says it doesn't void the warranty, I called my dealer and they said it wouldn't either. I have an 09 SE. the system looks great but very little performance change, maybe a few HP.
Lancer question: I have a 2014 ES Sportback and when revving it makes that high pitched whine just like in this video... Is that common? Because I've taken mine to shops and gotten full inspections and they say they can't find anything wrong. I've never heard that noise in any other car I've driven. It's like a whirring/whining the harder you accelerate and it seems to get louder as you drive more.
The whine is from the transmission. Automatic lancers have what is called a CVT transmission and the majority of cars with CVTs whine just like this. It’s nothing to be concerned about
whats a drop in filter i have a 2011 lancer with the 1.5cc motor doesnt the intake filter fit the same hole in the motor of the 1.5? or it definite cant?
I have a 2003 Toyota Camry XLE. would this be a good Intake to install in it? plus what other things can I put in my camry to make it better. as in not be a dad's car. Interior and exterior. lol. I'm 19 years old btw.
Just a quick question I was planning on ordering the AMS intake for my ralliart but I know if i do I would have to get a tune I know they sell these k&n intakes at autozone an o'rellys would I have to get a tune up for this? Or no?
These aren't cheap their 315$+ new muffler that's food 210$ or if you just want to do the cheap way just straight pipe it for 75$-165$ depending on where you live, but this does add a few more horse power 5-7 horse power I'm getting mine in 2 weeks can't wait because I got a new muffler that sounds okey
