I own a toyota avalon 2009 Its been two years since I bought it The maintenance is very cheap The performance of the v6 is more than enough on street. The fuel economy is not good but not bad either, For an almost luxury ride and a quick car 20 mpg is acceptable. The ride is very comfy and boat like . And the chery on top is, it doesn’t depreciate bad. I bought it for 17k $ , now it’s value is 16.5k $ or more.
the avalon is a great car, plus is at the top of its class includin the ford taurus, buick, even the 300... the build quality and reliability of this car is top of the line.. even w/o a redesigned toyota said is going to be a hybrid as well
this car is great if you want a big car w tons of space, and one of the best V6'es out there with good fuel economy. if u wanna standout get something else, but i like the smotthness, quietness, engine and inside quality.. great car, i hope the 2013 redesigned brings an AWD and better nav system like the other Lexus.
Yeah I know what you are saying. The Avalon is quieter and smoother. I'm just saying Nissan did a better job coming up with a new style.. This Avalon looks pretty similar to the previous one.
@moonfades2009 The Limited has wood on the interior and the Avalon's interior is far from cheap plastic. Lots of soft-touch surfaces all over the place.
Just bought a 2005 limited and the doors are a little weird but i totally disagree with his opinion. The things he pointed out have nothing to do with the reliability and quality of the car. Who paid him off!
Bought a 2006 Av today! Sweet car! Plenty of power, comfortable, decent mileage,...I just don't see the downside to trading my shitty americano 300c for this! No wonder mopar is bankrupt!
the new avalon looks better, has better interior, n some new features. with the new redesign the avalon still ahead of the competition..it always had been tho..
I have 2009 Avalon limited and I love it but I Noticed my dash has crack up right the glove box , I believe it’s common problem with all Avalon 2005-2010 ,any body has same problem , is there any recall on it?
@stretchesplace he said it was well made and everything. he was just pointing out some things he doesn't like, christ the man can have an opinion, i know it's your car and you like it, but some things seem a bit weird, it's sort of a forgotten model of toyota's, kinda like the mazda b-2000, it hasn't been updated much for a number of years
why are the reviews always just about the the look, than the interior, and the space in the trunk, what about how is drives, the parts they use etc...come on guys...your not really doing anything except for showing a video of the car!
I own a Toyota Prius, but I think many of the Toyota models don't look that great. Lexus has had this same affliction except for the IS 250, IS 350, and IS F
So you must live in Mars or something, 'cause this car has been out for years and with a couple of previous generations. Its a pretty great car, I might add.
@moonfades2009 i have one just like this one but with the wood like u said.. this one is too much silver! the one i have has like tan/cream interior color with the wood grain on various parts of the car, so yeah they do have better options
I really dont know why some of you guys say this is a great car. Toyota offers Crown and Mark X(even though it is a mid-size only) for other market. Both of them looks better in exterior and interior than the Avalon.
this car could have a lot of potential but the styling is still boring.....why dont they look at the GS models and get that design and tweak it for the Avalon?
The new 2010 Ford Taurus trumps this very, very over-rated car....especially the SHO model. The only thing this car has going for it is the big back seat. Toyota quality is now just words....a Ford, Chevy, or new Buick will be just as reliable. This Avalon's interior and dash reminds you of perhaps what a big Kia sedan's interior would look like.
@ywc99411 lol, and what good are those cars if you're in a market that a) doesn't get them, and b) doesn't even know about them? And why would someone choose a mid-size if they wanted a large-size car? Nice fail.
Wow to see your own comment 9 years later and realize that your perspective has completely changed is quite humbling. I am now in the market for this exact model and seem to really enjoy all its best qualities. Comfortable, efficient, reliable, and has enough power to get up and go on the highway. How times change with age...
Name one car the ford has used to immatated (copied) the avalon, the avalon is ugly, slow, and boring and the sales number of this car back me up on my statment and opinion.
You have to pretty dumb to buy this, for the same price you get a Hyundai genesis which destroys this thing inside and out in quality and style. If you disagree with me, say something, don't just thumbs me down like an idiot.
I think this is a hasty, poor effort by Toyota to churn out a new looking car. Its essentially the same boring all Toyota under he sheetmetal and the exterior looks bland and tasteless. I can see Carmy written all over certain aspects to this car and Tryhard Lexus all over the rest. I would rather opt for a new cool looking licoln or buick or even taurus rather that buy another boring, and nameless Toyota. After the reliabiity gig went down not that long ago, Toyota lost its face in my book.
