Very helpful video..i have 2010 Bmw 530i the transmission is dead and i am planning to replace but the garage guy said that better to get Japan imported because its less mileage but my car spec GCC is it ok to replace with Japanese spec??
These transmissions are made by ZF, it's a European manufacturer. I'm not sure why the garage is recommending a "Japanese import"? There is something that's not making sense with the garage statement. Keep in mind that a Japanese spec would have a right hand drive, so there MAY be small differences in the transmission. Gulf spec (GCC) is left-hand drive.
@@CarInspected he recommend the Japanese spec transmission because of mileage is less but the gcc spec by the way it will be bad because it was used in gulf and the temperature here is very high so that's why all the bmw owners taking Japanese parts also its more expensive than the gcc spec ...but my question also for the car computer if i fix Japanese spec transmission it will be ok or i should replace the full computer?
Good question: Technically, it should work because the transmission computer for this specific transmission is embedded in the mechatronics unit /module (i.e., inside of the transmission).
Great video sir, I have a 2010 bmw 535i xdrive, could you tell me where the transmission cooler is located please?? I can’t seem to find it on my vehicle!!
@@CarInspected I’m looking for the cooler it’s self! I ordered a new one and wanted to install it yesterday but I didn’t see it near the location I thought it would be.
