Omg really needed to see the gasket

Hope you can do a video of removing the intake manifold on this car & engine. I have not found one out there yet. I believe there is an issue of an AC line going through the intake manifold? I've been wanting to manually clean the intake valves but I hesitate removing the cover if an AC line is running through it. Thanks for this video!

Looks like you need to get an extra battery for your camera! Cool video. Are you going to upload more videos with this car through to completion running smooth with the CEL off, or was this specifically focused on the procedure to replace the valve cover gasket and spark plugs? Also is the issue with the boot on the coil a common issue with that engine? Do you see that failure a lot?

How do you recommend cleaning the valve cover ?

Do you know what the torque specs are for when you put the cover back on? don't wanna tight the bolts to tie.

did you use rkv or whatever it's called the gasket sealer stuff? because I put that on the corners of my valve cover gasket for my 3.1 mailbu and some people say yes other people no ...what is your take on that?

My 2 cents worth: I have identical make/model. I had pre-ignition of the spark plugs, but it was due to dirty gas in the tank. I had the BAD HABIT of driving with low amount of gas in the tank. Since the ethanol level has increased to 10%, the high water content in the corn-based ethanol was vaporizing in the gas tank with the large amount of air in it. {Summer daytime temperature: 100º}. Then on the cool nights, the vapor turned back to water. GOOD advice from a truck-driver & mechanic: FILL TANK WITH Highest OCTANE level gas (94). Once I did this, engine light went out; loud RATTLE stopped and it was perfect after that. The codes turning the engine light on were THE ANIT-KNOCK SENSORs.[One mechanic said, 'then change the censors' : DAH: NO ! They were doing their job right!!!] But it didn't tell any one what CAUSED THE KNOCK. So I had mechanics do all kinds of things and the engine light kept coming back on. NO MORE half-empty gas tanks for me. I also had the ABS light problem: dealership wanted to replace the O-ring & barring: $500+. I took it to a good mechanic and he only had to replace barring. BOTTOM LINE; use high octane gas sometimes: use OCTANE BOOSTER sometime; keep GAS TANK FULL !
