Thanks for the video. You should consider replacing your stock Oil cap with the vented GM FC219 oil cap...might save your main seal if you have that problem with the plugged PCV hole in the intake manifold at a future date by "moving" the weak point in the system...it does fit my 2.4L 2010 Equinox. Very low cost item. If you do a search on vented FC219 Equinox you'll see posts on it....
If it's a recurring problem (frozen pcv) I don't understand the point of going though all that labor to clean it out and then next year, and the year after that. Seems like beating a dead horse. Why not disregard the faulty system and install an old style pcv valve in the system?
Great video. I have a 2014 Equinox that suddenly started cutting off at stops. Took to shop and said code was cam solenoids. My dad changed intake and exhaust solenoids and as soon as started it up i smelled antifreeze and exhaust smell in cabin. Now having sludge on dipstick some. Dont think he screwed down solenoids like you did, just pushed in. Could that be causing smell and sludge problems? Thanks so much. Car is not overheating and running smooth.
