It’s like looking into an alternate universe watching these old games man. So many things are different now. Both QB’s are retired, Peyton is now a TWO time sb champ. Andy Reid coaches the chiefs and Asante Samuel’s son plays for the Chargers
@Steve Brady is a fucking unicorn bro lol it’s insane. I think this is his last year though but I said the same thing about 8 years ago so who knows lmao. Early 2000’s football will forever be the best era
This Eagles team felt like it should have done so much more. Vick turned into a premiere pocket passer, Shady in the backfield, a great O-line, DeSean, Brent Celek, and Maclin led one of the most prolific offenses in the league.
2010 NFL Season was fun to watch! So many classic games/moments from that season for me. -AR12 cementing his status as a Force in the League -Michael Vick's Redemption Season -Peyton Manning's Last Season as a Starter for the Colts -Jets Upsetting 14-2 Patriots in Playoffs -Brady's MVP Campaign -Miracle at the Meadowlands -Peyton Hillis was a beast -Super Bowl 45 is still one of my all time favorite SBs -Browns Upsetting the Patriots
2012 , 2016, 2018 were epic too, and had a larger number of thrilling games. 2010 was like a lull before the tactical revolutions of the decade, where 2011 Giants could win by being RARE 3WR shotgun base. ru-vid.com/group/PLbGLzzomCfA5npQeb0jTnkevd_2UmV-FA
Ten years later, and it still tough to see Collie laid on the ground. He was my favorite Colts receiver because play as a slot receiver is not easy and he paid this bill with his career.
It’s crazy watching this so many years later and knowing Collie’s okay, and still that hit makes my heart drop like a falling freight train. Thank GOD he was okay.
Uh...No he wouldn't have. He was a shit for brains QB. QB is a cerebral position and he never had it. He was part of a team that won one playoff game and lost the playoff game to the Packers.
@@flexiblestrategist9922 it wasn't that he wasn't "cerebral". The thing is Vick had too many options. A QB usually has the options of throwing to the primary, the secondary and the check down. Vick had the option of primary, secondary, check down, run, or scramble until someone's open. Sometimes holding the ball worked out for him and sometimes it didn't. Plus Vick always had a spy on him and the eagles rarely played a double tight end/slot formation so any check down in the middle was taken away.
Michael Vick is the GOAT. Just my option as a NY Giants fan. If he hadn't gone to prison he would have many records. Miss the guy. He was alot of fun to watch.
Vick seemed to wake up right before going to prison and was studying his playbook when Falcons got Petrino. Sad we will never know what would have happened
@@JohnDoe-rr1fz in my opinion he can throw further then all of them. Has the fastest football 🏈 speed throwing wise. He didn’t had the discipline to team around him to win. I think all those other quarterbacks are great. Not taking anything away from their success at all.
I remember watching this game on a Sunday evening while my mom was making dinner. Was also watching when that Collie hit happened. I was in 8th grade. Good times.
@@christophermanley3602 Very true. I've found that music and sports have that effect on me. Listening to a song or watching a sporting event mentally takes me back to the time I first heard or watched it. Love it!
The Colts ran that seam route to Tamme about 7 times in this game, so it must have been something they saw on film. Manning hit Tamme's hands numerous times but he kept dropping it.
The seam is the answer to Cover 2 and Cover 4 split safeties. Those 'safe' coverages prevent the 'Wide' receivers outside the numbers from burning you, which slot receivers and TEs could feast on with less underneath coverage. MOFO "Middle of the Field Open" ; if your wide recievers occupy the safeties the seam , shallow cross, and maybe even deep post can get hit.
The fact that the Browns blew out Tom Brady and the pats had me like 😳😳😳 10 years ago and i watched that game as well.. Its 10 years later and the Browns are currently 4-1 and the pats are 2-2
LOL! I was looking for a Seahawks game from 2010 to watch then I saw they were playing the Giants this week down below thinking 'Oooh maybe I'll watch this game" then I saw the score and immediately changed my mind lol.
I’m looking at 75 thinking Vinny Curry. 54 thinking Grugier-Hill. 27 thinking Malcolm. Jerome Harrison was my guy. I hated when he was allowed to go to Detroit, but it wound up saving his life because when the Eagles traded to get him back he failed his physical because he had a brain tumor he was unaware of. He was Dorenbos before Dorenbos.
No way bud. You’re far from part of a few. These are the best colts uniforms inmy book. The white helmets are too much. I like the darker blue as well but even if they kept the blue they usually wear and did these helmets it would look better.
I sure wish the Eagles would get new uniforms. And not a retread of those Kelly green. Idk why everyone’s on that. Even if Kelly green is the color it should be a new design. I think what Oregon did sets the bar. Some of them are over the top but others are really good. Current Eagles uniforms are band and boring.
John Nichols Nike either makes incredible designs, or terrible. No in between. I know the bucs & Falcons come to mind. Idk if the Jaguars were pre Nike or not but those blended helmets have been vomit inducing to me. It seems like there’s a different crew for college than NFL. If they can get those college like designs then I can see a midnight & kelly blend probably working
Ain’t it funny how Jim nance mentions Peytons perfect quarterback ratting all the while mentioning Vicks Worst QB rating of the year.I can’t stand biased sports commentating.
Almost forgot how STACKED that pre-Chip Kelly Eagles offense was. Just straight athletic freaks: Vick, Desean "Action" Jackson, Shady McCoy, Jeremy Maclin, Jason Peters on the O-line. Shoot if I was in Vince Young's position I would think I was on a dream team too...probably wouldn't say it to the media though.
Vick is the Mike Tyson of the NFL. At the end "eithuh side" Jim nantz (one of my fav announcers, got a New York accent all the sudden) lol and then again "anothuh penalty" LOL
Being reminded of people like Nick Cole, Winston Justice, Max Jean Gilles reminds me how spoiled we’ve been here with o-line play because outside of Peters, Herremmans was the only good player. I remember Mcglynn taking issue with McNabb’s comments after Washington won the first game, then before you know it he was on another team.
I had that same thought Petey. If only we get some decent play on the opposite side of Slay. Our CB's will have some chances bc our d-line should be ferocious.
Glad you're back. Got a few requests. 1. Do you have the 2007 week 8 game between the Packers and Broncos? 2. Do you have 1998 week 8 game between the Packers and Ravens? 3. Do you have either the 1997 divisional playoff game between the Packers and Bucs or the 1997 week 13 game between the Cowboys and Packers? 4. Do you have either of the 2004 regular season games between the Packers and Vikings?
The only time the colts wear throwbacks other than 2004. 04 throwbacks had white helmet with back horseshoes while 2010 had the same layout with blue helmet. It was weird they brought out the throwbacks for one game and have had none done anything with throwback uniforms in any way. 2010 was the last year peyton was a fulltime starter for the colts. In 2011 he was on IR due to neck injury then was released in 2012.
If Eagles advanced further in the playoffs that year at least in to conference champ, Vick would've got the MVP, but playing that eventual champ Packers in WC wasn't gonna be on Eagles favor.
Even with all the injuries Manning still drives his team downfield...and colts center Jeff Saturday isn’t very big.. but he is extremely smart and I the leader of the offensive line...using great technique to get a job done..
2:21:36- I just remember this game and how badly the refs worked their asses off the keep the Colts in the game. Horrible judgment for a "blow" to the head. Of course, Simms was so biased towards Manning as an announcer, he says "yes, it's a blow to the head" when Nantz is clearly questioning the validity of the call.
He said “by the rule yes it’s a penalty” “I understand if you say no it’s not but where are you going to start drawing the line?” “If you’re going to make the rules up then you have to call it” He wasn’t biased at all he was defending the stupid rule they put in place for this soft af league. You see this called all the time now a days it’s ridiculous trying to play defense in today’s game.
Easily one of my favorite games, I hope the game between them this year is as good, granted Jalen hurts is no Micheal Vick but the Colts are pretty fucking stacked
