@@saltpepper1894 3.3v6 and yes it did, I had to add trans fluid here and there but I think most people may assume trouble because when the fluid all leaks out the car will not move. Mobil 1 and Lucas oil treatment every 3-5k is essential.
@manbearpigonabike good call. Sedona would definitely be a good one to compare too. Unfortunately, the limited nature of video forced me to keep the list of competitors short.
@BIGGIEDEVIL Minivans in general don't seem to hold their value too well. Some better than others, but as a class they aren't great on resale from what I saw when researching.
Good review... Chryslers infotainment advances just may be what pulls the company back from the brink this time. Now they just need to roll them out across more of the product line like Fords sync.
@vippermoon64: but it's worth it. Have you seen standard grand caravans. The don't even have a tachometer. My uncle rented one and I have to admit it's pretty good looking but he would rather have an odyssey. He already has an accord and loves it. Just the quality is a step up. Go type in minivan comparisons and see which one comes in first. :)
yep do your homework, everyone in my block that has a caravan is going through a problem or another, whearther it's fixing it's transmition or just outright replacing the entire electrical system. i love chrysler but i don't know a single person who's happy with one outside of the ram and wrangler owners.
@crammage you still didnt give me a reason why this car lacks good reliabliblity. maybe you just hated driving a minivan. i know i would. and which one did you own?, if it was old, well...of course you had problems
@crammage no...chrysler makes the most reliable minivans...you are just making that up out of ignorance. j.d. power and associates named the chrysler t&c and dodge gc most dependable minivan. and they got awards for best consumer loyalty for minivan (so people are obviously happy with them). this is the fastest, most fuel efficient, and funnest minivan you'll find...i'd pick this one out of competition and atleast it isnt overpriced like the japanese minivans. they are best sellers too
@manbearpigonabike ya but kia sedona, is noisy, has a worse interior than anything, and is bumpy. my mom used to have one. and it doesnt have that many features. plus 23 mpg hwy 16city, but with this van its 25 and 17mpg
@vippermoon64: I have a consumers report magazine and that has a full black circle for reliability meaning that is the worst it could be. Go for the Honda odyssey it handles better has better quallity and surely the transmission won't go out 29,000 or 34,000 miles. ( I read the comments bellow me). Our 2004 has 87,000 miles and still runs and drives great. The new ones are even better with less transmission probs. So shut up your full of crap
@hondaftw1234 honda odyssey is probably the biggest rip off of them all. it looks dated, too, both inside and out. i know it handles better, but thats it. if you buy a $40,000+ touring model and you buying a $35,000 chrysler town and country limited, you'll see the $5,000 cheaper t&c has more standard features, or if im wrong, at least the same amount of standard features. compare it the the even cheaper grand caravan and it is plain sad!
this Caravan durability and reliability is like shit and this some thing you shouldn't forget and how about GAS economy Dodge and Chrysler very very god dam slow improving gas economy !!!!
This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned!!! Dodge Grand Caravan's are nothing but Garbage I will not buy another Dodge! Not worth the aggravation and lack of reliability look it up fanboy dodge / Chrysler sucks
