I love the way Dodge has done the dually. No bolted on rear fenders, Nice bed. I have to agree that I think 2010 that the companys are putting more effort into there makes. Great Job Boys
@drewvulture The 09's were rated under 20,000 so I don't know what you're talking about. The engine could pull that weight but the frame is structured for that kind of weight for highway speeds.
@MrMicas101 for sure on that one my family has a few farms and we use only cummins and cat diesel n we have a few 12v cummins with 400k plus miles still running strong showing no sign of slowing down.
I just got a new dodge laramie cummins 3500 for 46,000 a while back and havent found anything yet it cant haul/pull so this probly around 60 somewhere...anyway very great truck
@drewvulture Yeah it does matter, because the chassis, axle, and the frame will fall apart if you keep pulling over the listed weight, Can the ran pull 40K at highway speeds: yes, can it do it and keep durability? Probably not.
i have a 2003 6.0 bought it for 15.7k have it for 7 months now. total cost of injectors, heads, oil pump, fuel pump.alternator, transmission, differential, towing $12,500.I am seriously considering burning it down with a few gallons of gas in front of a ford corporate office or or a ford dealer.Just to save the rest of honest working man. Oh I am a very patient man seriously but i dont see this nightmare called f350 ending anytime soon. All i need is a sponsor just to cover the half of the cost.
@SecularTechnology it doesnt matter what they were rated to pull dodge rams always pull way over there limit 09 3500's can pull 40,000lbs ive seen it before and the truck was all stock
i like the look of the one piece rear fenders but i also think its a marketing scam for the company because if you thing about it if you hit a tree or sign with the fender which i have seen all the time, you are forced to buy a whole new bed and not a $500 fender just my opinion.
@zekenc give the 6.7 powerstroke a year, ATLEAST please!!! you people are saying its the best thing since sliced bread and its not been on the market a year yet? where anyone has truly drivin the things into the ground?.... seriously, atleast duramax comes to the plate as a 10 year veteran and the cummins is a 20 yr veteran, ford? they have a powertrain switch, historically, every 4 years, besides the 7.3..... until a 4 yr streak is beaten, i aint getting any ford truck
i honestly preffered the shape of the outgoing model compared to the new 2010 model........ the outgoing mega cab dually looked a lot more civilized and practical compared to the new model which just seems like they made it bigger and uglier......... Doesn't seems to be selling as much though, probably because of the same reason I am pointing out......... great engine though.......
how come everyone else thinks otherwise? your GM and ford still got lastic, well actually, atleast GM is sheet metal, but still has the bulge because they are to cheap to shape it. ford went ahead and used the mega cab flares, like you spoke of, slapped it on their duallys, i think the 450, look how shit it looks, i think fords trucks have looked the basic same since 99, plus, box shapes EVERYWHERE, your new GM trucks lookin spiffy though, nice upgraded frames and suspensions.
Oh yeah.. f***ing a, I completely forgot about those. Yeah, if I had a dually, I would certainly pull a 5th wheel. A dually that never sees heavy towing is a waste.
62 , u paid full price. dam. it better be fuly loaded megacab with nav and sunroof then. yea its way better to buy. especailly a truck. its a tax write off, u can get a deal o nt hem.
