Shop prices are insane I’ve had my 2012 3.0 flex fuel for a few years as a daily I’ve done water pump throttle body and maf, all easy to do myself then I wrecked it hard was able to save thousands replacing the entire front suspension at home because I bent everything and broke my rims and axles, these cars are very easy to work on compared to other fords
i dont understand why u would make a instructional video this unprofessional dawg i came here to see how to remove the back part of the manifold and u literally skipped it
Ford uses spring couplings. One pipe inserts into the other. You can buy the cheapo plastic tool at Autozone (usually has like 5 or 6 sizes). They go around the tube and you slide it into the coupling housing to release the spring, then pull the two sections apart. I do not remember any clips when I did mine, but my car is an early 2010 (manufactured in June 2009), so there might be a change.
Hmmm, well you can get an OEM equivalent plug from virtually any manufacturer but you are going to have your different tiers ya know...like you coppers, platinum, Double Platinum, Iridium etc....do you remember roughly how much you paid? I work at a parts store lol...and I dont sell the Motorctaft platinum plugs that are recommended. Heard they were just relabeled NGK's...who knows though. Thanks for the instructional video though as I have the same car.
he purchased a intake manifold gasket , he should have purchased an UPPER intake manifold gasket thats why he has left over gasket. Its about 15 bucks.
You left out the part about the hidden bracket underneath the intake manifold that has nearly inaccessible screws. This bracket was obviously put in place before the engine was dropped in and is a real bitch to get detached from the manifold after the fact.
@@KylePancis Thanks for the video, really helped with my tune up. Obviously it's not necessary, but found that removing the throttle body and battery made for easier access to the pain in the ass bracket...my two cents
You left out the bolts that hold the EGR valve onto the manifold...... that right there mad things 100× difficult next time you make a video make it easy for every last bolt. I'm currently stuck because non of these videos explain fully. Thanks for skipping passed the most difficult part
I have a 2010 Mercury Milan that has the 3.0L V6..I use to have a 1988 Mercury Cougar that had a 3.8L V6, wish I still had that car. That car rode smooth even on rough roads, it had regular shock absorbers all the way around and no McPherson struts..
