2010 Infiniti G37S 6-speed Coupe Review, Walkaround, Exhaust & Test Drive 

I love this car. Had a 2009 sedan and now 2015 coupe. Absolutely bullet proof. Never took either to a garage... Just oil, tires & fluids. Coupe is a blast to drive and very good value. More of a GT than a sports car. The AWD is excellent. Basically a rear wheel drive that seamlessly adds power to the front only is the rear run out of traction. So you get a nice throttle induced oversteer and with the torque vectoring it takes corners very well. AND you can put a stillen blower on it, keep the Infiniti warranty and put down 450 to the wheels on a stock motor. AND it is substantially more affordable than a BMW to buy or to maintain.

This dude claims he is a car enthusiast but the way he shifts worse than my girlfriend. I bet his manual car needs transmission and clutch service every 20k miles.

Having owned both and loved both. I choose Infiniti since my 335i was in ths shop...A LOT!

There's a trunk release button on the left tail light

I've always loved the g37 coupe. The sedan is just as nice but there is no denying the coupe outsells it's sedan counterpart. Awesome review as always

As a used car under 30k, this is probably the best all-in-one car you can buy

They are not brembo brakes I have a 370z with the same brakes. They are infact made by akebono. Nissan/Infiniti ditched brembo after the g35/350z

Not trying to be an ass, but around the 7 min mark you said that there's no exterior trunk release on the trunk lid like in the past. That's because the button for the trunk release is on the left tail light. Its the chrome button.

That Infiniti exhaust note growl is orgasmic. The best in class from my experience after test driving every one of the competition.

It DOES have a trunk release, its on the right side of the left taillight!!

We'd have to agree with you. The Accord 6-speed V6 takes around 5.9 secs to hit 60. This car is a half second quicker.

I have a 2012 G37x in Graphite Shadow, luv it. I do envy the black on this 2008. The low miles on mine was irresistible, suppose I could get it painted at some point.

When they changed the body style from the G35 to the G37 I called it the female version because they made lines softer and sexier.

You can access the trunk from the exterior - If you have the smart FOB in your pocket, press the silver button on the drivers side taillight. Also, accessing rear seats, there is a small black button near the flip-up handle on the top of the seats, which automatically slides the seats forward.

This is why I left Acura for Infiniti. More power and better chassis layout. Infiniti one of the best handling and better driving dynamics.

The Infiniti G37 came out as a 2dr. coupe first in 2008 but as a RWD only, and in 2009 the G37 sedan came out, that's when they introduced AWD on the Coupe on that same year. 2008 was the last year for the G35 Sedan and 2007 was the last year for the G35 Coupe, just so you know.

They make great used cars, just keep in mind the gas and insurance bill may be quite high. Also, watch your right foot, it's quite easy to speed in these things ;)

There is a truck button on the outside on the driver side tail light. Just make sure you have your key in range.

Well, they stink for hiding it in the tail light :P

Ive been looking at luxury coupes and the g37 is def a great buy. It should easily be on the top of anyone's list. The 335 is comparable but man is it so much more.

I love this car and the G35 coupe as well. It's so hard to find a used manual version that doesn't have a ton of miles or is not junked up with awful mods. The prices on these are pretty steep for a used one in good condition because they are so rare. Such a beatutuful car!

i would gladly trade my genesis coupe for a G37 or a G35. I absolutely love the way they look and sound. G coupes always seem to catch my attention on the road wish i could afford a G37 or at least find a G35 with less than 35k miles.

The G35 coupe sounds better. It just has that lusty exhaust purr

I bought a 2019 all black 370Z sport coupe 6M and really love it. It is similar to this G37S but I do prefer having the stiffer suspension and lighter weight of my Z. Both cars are very solidly made with excellent build quality.

Getting a 2008 G37S with a 6 speed, and I believe there's not much change throughout the years except the facelift around 2011, right?

I have this exact car in the X. Love it.

Still driving this 2013 G37 IPL 6MT in 2020 90k miles strong. Everything is still original with just oil, brake and tire changes. In regards to the top comment of him being rough with shifts. Infiniti and Nissan has the worst clutch pedals I have ever driven. It’s very difficulty to drive smooth from 1st to 2nd.

@ 7:00 - on the left-rear light, there is a silver button. That is your trunk release. Hope this helps! BTW I bought one of these yesterday. ;)

Never heard of that one. You sure you didn't mean don't rest your foot on the clutch instead? That's a well known fact that will cause early clutch wear but the shifter is designed to be touched and handled, why would simply resting your hand on it cause it to wear out the gearbox?

Great car but man what a cheap looking interior they had back then. Makes Acura interiors feel like an S class Mercedes compared to this.

About the trunk release, it's the chrome button on the left taillight. This model has it.

Don't forget the 335i might keep you more time on the mecanic than on the road....

2003-2006 G35 Coupe is the best looking one out of all the G coupe. the body design is more sexy then the newer version.

The G37 is a great car and will be more reliable than it's German competitors but the lack of engine refinement and clunky shifter is a deal breaker. I would take a BMW 335i despite the reliability issues because performance wise it's everything you could want and that I6 motor just revs so silky smooth it's unreal.

That is a beauty. an S with a clutch pedal. when that m3 e46 retires, this cud be my next car. thnx for an in-depth review.

it's such a nice touch to hide them in the tail light. very elegant when you come around with a friend and they are like, what? where did you press?

Why do these so-called test drivers feel that they have to force the transmission through the gears at a super rapid pace instead of letting the mechanical linkage work at its own pace.? This is a good way to damage the transmission, there's no reason to force it so quickly through the gears.

I agree. I bought one for 5k, lowered and added sway bars, IPL wheels, intake and oil cooler. Take it to the track, the country club, cruise PCH, road trip to Napa, Vegas. BMW 335is are quickly depreciating into this range, but won't be as reliable, or, in my opinion, good looking.

BMW 335i is also more expensive than this G37 so keep that in mind when you compare the two
