John Deere 1020 that been sitting in a barn for many years with several several layers of owl poo is this tractor going to be worth the rescue after so long of being neglected come along and find out crazy-d-equipm...
Hey everybody hey when I made the video I was under the impression that it was a 1020 turns out it's actually a 2010 double check the serial number tag this afternoon and whoops 2010
Man Dave, the look on Doc's face was priceless when he turned the key and she lit right up. Good find. I always loved these 1020 J.Deeres. Not a bad looker either.
Our local consignment sale is this weekend. It was delayed by the "pandemic". The lot at the fairgrounds is pretty full and there's a lot of decent looking stuff there. I'll be there to check out a couple of trucks. With all of the "right to repair" things going on these days, it'll be interesting to see what some of the older iron goes for. I don't farm myself but, my buddies are all getting fed up with not being allowed or able to work on their own equipment.
Been working so much I had to catch up on the Crazy D videos tonight and almost dropped the phone when that tractor fired up. Your going to make green 🤑 💰 on that JD. Looks good with the disk plow behind it.
It’s a shame that these retired farms are not sold with all included to a young up starting farmer at reasonable price that he can repay the family does not need the money that much that million dollars is needed to start a farm
You might want to change the Hyd Filters. I have a 2010. Mine is a 1964 diesel industrial version called a 2010 Wheel. It has a backhoe and front loader. Its a POS. Its kinda funny the power steering and brakes dont work. It has fluid pressure because the Trans works ok & the fluid comes out the top of the steering collum. It has a pretty big crankshaft driven front Hyd Pump that powers the backhoe and front loader. And that backhoe is the strongest digging one ive ever operated. You gotta take it easy or you will blow out those 60 year old hyd hoses! And Ive ran new Case and JD backhoes. Dont matter that its a POS I only paid $2250 for old leaky. Im still having fun.
www.tractordata.com/photos/F000/58/58-td4-b01-ext045.jpg. Pulled a 4 row JD row-crop cultivator behind a 2010 that looked just like this in the ‘70’s. Only difference was that it had a wide front end. It was a decent little tractor!
Awesome tractor, I grew up on a small farm and it was ingrained in me big time to never start a tractor by standing next to it that’s a good way to get run over real fast. It makes me cringe when I see that, stay safe!
