Just doing this job now...I cut an access hatch in that front splash plate with my jigsaw, after watching the trouble you had. So thank you very much for your 'warning' video 🙂

I THINK that is the fan relay integral with that resistor housing yes?. I will try and check this ones wiring loom too. Hello Derek! I had to remove the plastic shield from under my Daughter´s Mazda 3 to do an oil change. Two 6mm bolts would not come out of their clips, so I had to drill off the 10mm heads to get the shield out. I was then able to remove the clips from the framework and remove what was left of the bolts. Changed the oil filter and the gearbox oil at the same time. All went back with 2 new bolts, with plenty of antisieze on them, which should have been there in the first place.
Sounds familiar! The metal clips were destroyed during removal so it was a simple case of drill a couple of holes and pop some self-tappers in. I noticed with this shield that someone has made a hole in it to be able to change the oil. Good idea!
Hi Derek. Got to the point of no return with d2 td5. She has gone as a trade-in. 8 years of love and attention. She Bit the bullet a week last Saturday, coming back off a trip, reversing into the drive when the belt tensioner exploded into pieces. Decided to call it quits. Gone for a Nissan X-trail. Now just got a load of spares for the D2, from turbo to crankshaft dampener, injectors, parking brake shoes(new), and springs(new), rear doors window frames, c spanner bushes (new) and a rear door window glass with rubber seal. (If you know anyone in need) Had a moment with my eyes watering up. But she needed new rings and bottom end sorting. Sad to see her go.
Aw, sorry Martin. It's just like losing a member of the family. There comes a point when enough is enough, I know. Trouble is, I regret getting rid of mine simply for the spares that I had in it, like the interior . . . .
I need to replace the Cooling Fan and Resistor on a 5008 1.6d 2013 which is more or less the same as a 3008 going to be very similar I suspect. The high speed fan works on mine however low speed fan doesn't work so I am suspect the Cooling Fan and Resistor faulty.
I presume you mean the engine cooling fan. It turned out that on mine the fan and resisitor were all fine. The problem was in the wiring harness below the radiator. Anyway, good luck!

Greeting Tomas. New cars seem to be more plastic than anything else. I always remember the riots in Paris a few years ago when cars were set on fire. Afterwards, there was very little left! Just the frame and the engine block!
Probably the grey connector its wrong, not match the same socket look again your video and its not the same socket, you might buy the right blower sensor, or look if the grey connector is clicking fine
