Kevin your videos are really well filmed, only people who work on cars can understand how hard these jobs are. I watch all your videos thankyou RESPECT!
Yea I didnt think I had to drop the subframe looking at it, much appreciated bro, that rain looked pleasant lol, stay safe and keep having fun bud....👍👌👍
Started my apprentiship mid 80s,used to do V8 Rover clutches for extra cash, in work did all the engine jobs, never could make bonus, whilst the " clutch " guys were, total respect on your back everyday...
Great vid, very straightforward and makes me feel a bit easier about tomorrow's clutch job, I felt your pain for the wet weather though 🙈 can't imagine how much you wished you pulled it forward just a few more feet
It's really clever and time saving the way how you drop the gearbox onto the sub frame. This leaves just enough room to change the clutch. I have seen videos on here of people removing the sub frame, steering rack and exhaust. This looks the same as my Corsa C 1.2 petrol.
Mate, big respect ! Can't believe this is so quicker and easier than suspension frame dismantle method. Your method seems a cushy job, especially since I'll also be doing it on the ground. It is possible in 1.6 petrol meriva (Z16XE) ? Ta 🤟
Amazing video! keep up the good work. Clever idea using a regular spanner for the gearbox mounting E18 torx bolt @4:13, impossible to get a socket in that space
@@WMCS LOL, I have a corsa C in South Africa that has a z16se 8v engine. I needed to remove that mount as well when I was doing a transmission oil change.
Hello, really a very good job. How did you center the clutch disc and the clutch automatic? Normally the centering tools are too long in your situation and you didn't show in the video how you did it. Would be very interesting. Best regards
@@WMCSHello, how you use the tool I have already seen a few times. I was just wondering explicitly in the video (point 14:31) whether you had enough space to screw the tool with the clutch and remove it again, because it looks to me as if there is little space between the gearbox and the engine. Many greetings
Much respect ✊ could you tell me if it’s the same layout for a corsa c1.2 twinport, looks the same minus the front engine mount. As I’m suffering clutch drag. Best regards mike.
Hi I have an 05 plate combo van I drove home for 4 miles in third gear stopping about 5 times, a smell burning when I got home , it was the gear selector come loose . My van still drives ok but I was wondering what repairs I would need to do.
