can this be done at home or do we need to take to a shop?

@@chimborazo328 It's supposed to have an AGM in it. You don't want a lead acid off gassing inside your car.

@@noahserrault In case you didn't know this particular year bmw 2011 in the video...came with lead acid batteries.. my bmw is a 2012 328i coupe the battery for this cars come with a vent tube that connects to the floor to let out gases ..I just replaced my battery is a must that the battery comes with the vent hole for the vent tube to go in...look it up is out there so that you get the idea.. have a goodnight

I just need to disconnect the negative terminal on mine to to replace my desk battery but my problem is I wasn't the one that took it off. now I'm all left with disconnected cables with the red plastic connectors aren't connected to any single terminals. with that saying I I've no Idea which connection goes where.

Are you talking about the last part (the cover)? Basically line up the bottom then swing the top up like a door on a hinge. Hope this answers your question.

That’s FRM module issue, just have some one reset it. The dude that made me a key for my 328 did it for me for like 50$

yes programing is required. He will have a dead battery sooner because he didn't reprogram it.

Programming is recommended by BMW. However. The intelligent battery sensor is actually the intelligent. it keeps track of charging status and is able to learn overtime. The same way a good battery charger is able to determine battery state of charge without knowing what battery is plugged in.

How do I do the programming myself once installed. My car won’t start yesterday and the AAA tech said my battery would charge because it needs programming.

The only way is to pull it up, get the wires to the side with zip ties.
