2011 Chevy Malibu Shifter Knob Replacement

The yellow wire connects to the back of shift stick. Location in video is at 3:38.

I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu that has the shifter knob and the little yellow connector loose. I just can't find where to connect the connector to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Thanks for the video, this is very helpful and will help save me from paying the ridiculous price the auto shops are quoting so thanks again! I have some questions, where did you find your replacement shifter knob and how much was it? I have the same interior colors as your Malibu. I can’t seem to find any genuine GM parts that have just the knob with the new chrome trim plate and leather skirt, or they have the whole trim kit with new cigarette lighter and box. Did you just replace the knob part and keep the original leather skirt and chrome trim?
