I'm studying your video on clutch replace the clutch in my 2014 Fusion 1.6 EcoBoost ( Mondeo to you) and feel I can tackle the job. Thank for putting this video up . Wish your service was in the USA as you'd have a customer in a NY minute!
That looked alot more difficult than most Kevin ! There was alot to remove to get done But good on you mate grafter true and true as always Well done again Kevin great job mate ! I really enjoyed that one !!!👍💪🙏
I still don't envy you Kevin, still doing a great job even in this weather, always a branded clutch & i think LUK is o.e on Fords, keep up the great work & have a well deserved festive break
I think I am about to buy a 1.6 TCDi focus. I wish I could buy a triumph spitfire for 70 quid, like I did in 1971. Changing the clutch was so easy, the transmission tunnel was removeable, and all the bodywork forward of the windscreen hinged up out of the way. You would sit on a wheel whilst working on the engine. Doing a clutch change on the focus would nearly kill me, but I suppose it would make me stronger. You made it look easy Kevin, nice video, thank you.
I did this on my 2012 mazda 3 with the same 1.6 diesel engine a few months ago, not a fun job on a driveway haha. Never did a clutch before but your videos are really helpful, cheers.
G'day Kieth I've been watching you for awhile now and have subscribed, You have a marvellous work ethic you get under these cars in freezing conditions I really respect you, I find it somehow therapeutic watching you repair these cars and I couldn't believe how many cars need new clutches and they are late models, must be riding the clutch. Anyway look after yourself and if I ever get back to the old country I'd buy you a good pint, kind regards John
John I’d gladly sit down and figure out how to put the world right over a few pints., or the whole Keg .. One bolt at a time. ., 🍻😁.. Thankyou for the feedback.. much appreciated
@@WMCS thanks for getting back to me we love it over there we've been over there two times and although I was born and raised in Australia I just loved the UK I felt right at home having a couple of lovely Bass Ale in the Swan in Krewcern and it was bloody hot, one thing I would love to do is have Christmas there instead of having a bloody hot one over hear. Anyway take care kind regards John
Been waiting for the mk3 focus video as my missus has one and she rides the clutch more than she rides me, so im going to show her this video of all the hard work involved so it might teach her to use the Handbrake. Thanks for the video, Top of the Class.
Top work fella, i would be nervous attempting that in a garage where i could walk away and return, nevermind on a driveway with night approaching, great job.
cheers nice job great video I'm doing my clutch soon similar car just need to get some brake cleaner to clean the clutch plate and bell housing excellent video especially the part about bleeding the clutch don't for get to grease the crank shaft spline did you put grease on bell housing bolts I have not seen anyone do that before why
Hey Kevin, Great video thank you. Question: Do you know if these cars can be changed from Euro 5 - Euro 6 emission standard by retrofitting diesel SCR ? Adding a Add blue tank & pump ? I am hoping someone has done this successfully
je regarde vos vidéos de mécanique mais je comprend pas pourquoi vous coupé des moment ou justement ont aurrais besoin de savoir comment enboiter une transmission sur certain model,c est une trés bonne chaine
That ain`t your first clutch job exacuted like a operation, Great stuff to watch. I have oil coming from my bell housing I only drips out after a drive and when its parked up I can see a drip or two, I think its a seal from the engine dripping it to where the fly wheel is, so I guess if i do the seal i might as well replace the clutch, Would this be the same procedure for a ford focus sport TDCI 1.6 2011
@@WMCS Thanks for the reply Kevin! I'll get myself one. I think your vids are awesome btw. Will definitely give me the confidence to replace my clutch when it fails haha
You are class mate make it look easy. What do you call those yellow caps you use to stop the clutch fluid leaking or where can I find them I cant find them anywhere !! Respect mate
Salut, encore du super boulot pouce bleu, pour les fêtes de fin d'année va tu nous faire une vidéo bêtisier des moment couper au montage?.sorry I speak very bad English
It’s so comfortable., it’s got elastic at all the right places. So it’s snug but not tight. The material is like some sort of canvas. No wind gets through. It’s Russian military uniform. There’s different level. This one is a GORKA 4 Bars.
That bolt is something else. There was some behind the scene magic happening ✨🍻🍻😁.,, I think the Errrhem fries should stick to YSL and Gucci bag designs 🍋🍻✨ leave cars to ZE Germans.
well that's another one done mate, good job you didn't have your best white shirt on for that, my, that was a dirty motor ... and all those bits-n-bobs to come off just to get to where you can see the job, maybe one day you'll be asked to do a Viva as a Christmas present. :)
I don’t know why ford has gone to the dark side ‘Peugeot’ all the typical issues you might expect from that engine. Ie constant oil leak. Dodgy wiring it’s all there ., ✨🍻🍻😁
Ive got to do the clutch kit on my sisters focus 1.6tdci mate but been told i have to use self adjustment clutch tool but you haven't used that can you explain why or the difference between both
Buy a kit and you'll get the dual mass flywheel, slave cylinder , etc. If you fancy it you can change driveshaft seals too. One of mine leaked after and on a car that's done a few miles and years it can be pot luck if things seal the same once they go back.
Hi there what is the gearbox fill procedure on this gearbox, i swapped a driveshaft and lost a bit of oil on the mrs car and cannot find any details to refill as im not 100% on which gearbox it is, but it looks identical to the box in this video, the only sticker i can see on the mrs gearbox is AV6R 7002 KG. Thanks in advance
Ok cool, im sure i read somewhere that once it starts overflowing you are meant to stop filling and then take 500ml back out with a syringe or is that not the case ? Thanks again
