2011 Magazine Part 1 2011 Magazine Bodies Adam gives a brief history of the 2011 magazines and sets up the conversation for how to build 100% reliable 2011 magazines for USPSA, IDPA and 3 Gun competitions.
the 140 that came with my chaos works great... bought a new 170 and 155 mbx... both of which had horrible nose dives right out the box.... tuned them both with dawson kit and atlas videos, replaced with grams internals... and they're still iffy... maybe a jamb every other stage. (I tried to eliminate the ammo from being the problem, so I case gauge and caliper every match round for oal. running about 1.150ish with MG and Everglades HPs...as any longer and I have problems hitting the ramp and get stuck. Precision Deltas were worse)
I would assume the 40 and 10mm are the same? I have original STI 10mm mags from way back. I have a couple that don't feed well particularly the 22rd tube. Sounds like it can use a tuning. Great videos! Thanks.
But if you have a newer STI your recommendation is the ordered style STI mags? I have have both new and old STI tubes with grams internals and TTI pads and really have had better success out of the newer ones. But I have noticed the new mags being harder to load. I guess that's part of the internal dimensions you were talking about. Thanks for the information videos Adam.
kinda shocking how ridiculous magazines are. how can every other company get these right, but these aren't? i mean, really, it cannot be that hard to make a simple mag work. Wilson did it with the Walther tubes, heck, Para was able to do it for decades. it seems that there has to be some way to get MecGar to churn these out for a good price. i mean, i can get 20 round Sig P226 / Beretta mags for $24 dollars that work 100 percent of the time. why is this so much harder?
