I was 10 years old when the bruins won the cup and will forever remember taking the train from Lowell to North Station and being shoulder to shoulder with random people all chanting "f*ck the nucks" for the duration of the ride. Great memories.

I remember that Stars game in February 2011, 3 fights in the first few seconds. Bruins won each fight, Chara definitely isn't exaggerating when he said they were the toughest team. It really wasn't close, the Bruins had some badass motherF'ers on that team from like 2009-2015. Chara, Lucic, Thornton, McQuaid, Horton, Siedenberg, Boychuck etc.. Either punch you in the face or smash you into the boards, lol.

That claim about them "seeing the Canucks" practicing to lift the cup and passing it to eachother sounds made up and total bs tbh lol. We would have heard about this years ago if it were true, and this is the first time everyone heard anything about this. And If you know the Sedins, they would never let something like that fly. But even if word did get around during that time, I'd imagine it would be made up to make the Bruins blood boil as a way to enhance their confidence to win games

Nah I don't doubt that some clown like Burrows was making cup raising gestures. Probably the reason why Marchand taunted the Canucks in a regular season game the following year by lifting an imaginary cup.

I absolutely believe it to be true. The Canucks obviously underestimated their opponents in the '11 Stanley Cup Finals, and apparently thought it was going to be an easy ride. You could see it in the way they carried themselves, in the things they said (such as Luongo's thinly disguised digs at Tim Thomas) and in those signs behind the Bruins' bench in Games 1 and 2 that had the Bruins logo behind a red "censored" symbol that read, "It's all downhill from here, boys!" I remember thinking how arrogant and, to be frank, stupid it was for them to put those there. Perhaps if the Canucks had lived in the moment, game-by-game, instead of thinking they had it wrapped up before it even began, it would have been a different outcome.

Also someone tell Edelman that the nhl did away with ties after the 04-05 lockout. So that third number is overtime/shootout losses since in an overtime/shootout loss you get a point still.

For the love of god, next time you guys do a hockey episode get a guy thats a big fan of the sport to sit in on it with you guys. Its tough to listen to the chatter before the Big Z interview. President's cup when it should be President's trophy, Soupy's broken leg was in 2013 not 2011, and other lesser mistakes just hurts to listen to. Love you Julian, so happy to see you bring on Chara, and the teaser of Bergeron coming on for the 2013 leafs Game 7.

Before I watch this, Im a New England Patriots fan through and through, born and raised in Vancouver, not much of a hockey fan but I remember going through the riot stricken city for camp after the loss.. Vancouver hasn’t won anything since.. Wish Boston could’ve gave us that one.. instead they saw a trailer park boys type temper from a bunch of Vancouverites on national TV..

The superstition is that unless you’ve won the cup you never touch the cup because then you’ll never win it. Though if you’re not a hockey player you wouldn’t know/ care so if given the chance definitely enjoy drinking out of it
