So a lot of people had the buzzing issue. I had that issue as well. I took off the outside panel and then took out the inside box on the inside box there are 2 tabs with thermal paste. Replacing the thermal paste made everything work perfectly again.
Finally! I just bought a 2014 Focus SE last week that has this exact screen radio built into it and have been looking high and low for vids about it to try to see how to get this camera to work (it actually has one with it).
I had the same issue a lot of people are having with these style radios not turning on and finally got it working. Pretty much the only cable that doesn’t connect to anything is the white 8 pin connector (my cars a 2014 focus, not sure if it’s different for other model years), make sure to plug the 10 pin connector into the box and not the radio itself because it fits both. Also disconnect your battery before hooking up or you’re likely blowing fuses in the car or the one on the back of the radio if yours is like mine, red 10 amp fuse that’s located under the main cable
Have been working on installing mine this weekend, your comment really helped about figuring out the wiring. But the faceplate buttons don't work except for the hazards and lock. Reached out to the seller. We'll see what happens
Does this work with Android Auto? I would assume so because it has the play store and has USB's as well. If not Android Auto, do you think headunit reloaded would work? Thank you!

I know it's an older video but have you experienced after installation that the temperature and mileage switches to kilometers and Celsius every time you switch off the car? Something is defaulting in my opinion.

The link no longer exists on eBay - I have the same one and it came with the car when I bought it. Would you happen to have the the model number so I can research this for a manual. Mine is stuck in kilometers. I’d like to reset it but I am not sure once I rest it if I’d get all the stuff back.
So I got this same aftermarket system, but my Focus has the sync 3 (I think) touchscreen radio. It has this giant apmi radio on the back if the touch screen that has a plug that does not fit any of the ports on this new one. I can not find a tutorial or instructions anywhere, and no aftermarket radio I have searched for has a port for this giant plug. Have you replaced one of these before?
even though this is aftermarket it honestly doesnt look bad, if it wasn't for the middle dial buttom thing i would say its perfect. i am more of a knob type of person. or make it fully touch without knobs
had this exact one. very easy to install and held up through hell and back. sold the car and this stereo is the thing i miss the most about it. It got to the perfect loudness even though i still added a third party EQ to give it a 10+db boost. Whenever I had a shit day I would crank it to 25 and rattle my shitbox aluminum ford like a sociopath and feel alive. I got it for $99 and had the option to get Android/Apple Auto/Carplay for the price of a $40 usb dongle. Will never go back to brand name stereos after experiencing the freedom that is chinese headunits. the trim looked amazing and the fact they include the harness and wireless canbus and steering wheel interface was incredible. pure chinese magic.
@@StandardAmeriCan1 it sounds great, i mostly used the eq to get a 10+db boost because they are cheaper than amplifiers. even the subwoofer out on the radio sounds pretty good without an eq.

Hey thanks for the video. Just installed the same one on my 2012 focus. One problem I have after the installation is the GPS. Maybe I didn’t plug something in but do you have problems finding your location when in google maps?
Google maps doesn't work that well with no wifi in my experience. Generally I've had to start navigating on wifi, have the map downloaded, then it kinda works. Sometimes.
there's actually an upgraded version of this with 4gb of ram instead of 1 which im considering buying for the ability to add a sub. how's the sound quality compared to the original unit ?
What is the GPS Module for? Im going to connect it REGARDLESS.. but.. WHAT IS IT? WHAT IS IT FOR? GPS.. is clearly for MAPS.. but how does it work using that module..? I want this device in my car for 3 reasons: 1) RADIO 2) BACK-UP Camera (ive got one set up already) 3) GPS MAPS because i get lost all the time.. been living gere almost 20 years abd i atill get lost.. never got used to the mountains & hills.. im in the boonies but grew up city.. so i NEED GPS abd i cant fumble with a phone while im driving.

My 2014 Ford focus has really loud ear bursting pops and static, it’s so loud and random I’m driving down the road and almost have a heart attack, My mechanic thought he’d fix the problem with a battery cable sensor but it’s only worse nowI can’t drive it, my mechanic said it should be a recall and to have to fight with Ford, i’m afraid of dealing with the dealership on this.what is your advice, is it just a radio replacement?

I’m just scrambling for answers here, did you have any other strange electrical issues? Should I be concerned about the audio control module? Computer? I don’t know why no one’s suggested just changing out the radio, they say that Ford isn’t addressing the issue and tons of people are having the same problem. My mechanic wants me to fight Ford, he says if he tampers with it that they won’t validate the problem and I’ll have to pay them. I’m going to ask another mechanic for advice, and avoid the dealership until I know more. Any advice you have I really truly appreciate!

I had the same problem on my ford focus 2014 se like many other ford drivers, I got mine from Amazon for CA$360+tx and installed it myself. It feels great now. I can install apps too
Yea. And theres a volume button on the steering wheel and the screen. And when youre adjusting the volume you can actually clock on the bar and slide it. I can say I prefer a knob
Since the end of March and it’s been great. The only complaint would be the angle of the screen and if you don’t have tinted windows it will have a glare

@@dmaamd hi, I found out what was the problem. The push button was broken, I managed to to find the replacement part on Aliexpress but I haven’t tried to fix yet, although, I bought a new fascia (also in Aliexpress) and its working fine, this was the only solution I found, but if are good on soldering I recommend trying to replace to part, since is very cheap.
Dude, good vid until you got to phase 4 (connecting the wires). I'm here with wires everywhere and no detailed instructions for where they're connected. I'm kinda pissed I'll have to take to shop to finish the install but whatever. I'm a first time installer, telling me to just to connect to corresponding connections does me no good. And you forgot to mention there's hex screws involved. Smdh.
