those torx b9lts are a bitch..I stripped one doin my buddy's front brakes..had to remove rotor and pivot calipers up and put new pads in that way..tight spot...I even had a 3.5 amp electric impact with thd socket torx and it still stripped..
Yeah it was a tough spot and a wicked to get out. I was lucky to get my first one out as it was a bit rounded as I wasn't prepared for it - that is why I focused on them in the video to make sure others were ready to take them on 110%. Good ol loctite just doesn't let go easy.
Was to funny ,as i was watching the video and was about to opening my first pack of brake pads i also realized napa sold me the wrong kinda shoes with 10 minutes to when the napa store closes 5oclock i made it 2minutes to spare for a return then to get back home open first pack of shoes and noticed a piece of shoes was broken like come on know with store closed till next day i managed to finish up one side of brakes till tomorrow when napa opens with hopes of a return on broken pad
Wow way too much movement going on here! I can't anything most of the time because the camera is all over the place. Next time put your camera on a tripod
Thank you for the comments. Yeah it's hard to do this recording alone. I will try to either have a helper or tripod for future. Regardless thanks for taking the time to comment.
I feel your pain with those torx bolts that are countersunk. I actually twisted the ends of two torx socket bits and broke a 3rd one completely off in the head of one bolts. Luckily the broken piece came right out with a magnet. They were cheap quality but still amazed how i actually twisted two different ones
Excellent - I am glad I helped a little overall - that is really the goal I had in mind to help people be prepared if they take it on themselves. Thanks Again!
