To those that hate the interior, yeah it should be better for a car that cost that much...but it's the standard on the entire lineup. It's a retro interior and it does a fine job at that and it's a minimalist approach and to me that's better than a million buttons that over-complicate the driving experience. They obviously saved money inside the car to put into the exterior, sophisticated suspension, and engine.
Nurburgring in 7:41. Not too shabby at all. That's 18 seconds quicker than the 2009 CTS-V with the same engine (albeit a few less hp). Even sounds like a V. Sweet car.
In response to the exhausts- yes, yes... I know that- my m3 has the same thing, so does the Audi, so does a porsche and a ferrari- it's a small baffle that opens up at higher speeds on the other tubes of the exhaust. It's the reason why on some cars some of the quad exhausts have soot on only two of the exhausts and not all 4. Porsche allows for it to be turned off and on - its called active exhausts- just opens the closed baffles.
You're absolutely right! This is certainly no video to be doing IMMATURE things like speaking the truth and exposing it to a comment section full of "mature" Camaro drivers/enthusiasts. They have more serious things to worry about, such as how to get their seatbelt around their bellies, bloated from all the government Kool-Aid they drank to hold their interest in foreign cars with US disguises. Tell you what sport - best thing to do when you spot one of my "immature" posts is just to ignore it
Now, he said you could get a 100hp more with a lil more tweaking on a 69 ZL1. Can u say, "MOST FUN EVER"?!!!!!! An all aluminum carbureted 427 on polyglas tires, a 4-speed Muncie, and the sound, the smells, the punch all over your body....... Orgasmic Oh why doesn't GM just take Dynacorn bodies and just remake 69's?!!!!!!
It doesn't really matter what the gas mileage is. If you can afford to drop 60 grand on it you can afford to feed it. Its not likely to be a daily driver anyway. Sure does look like a lot of fun though.
People that complain about automatics with paddle shift obviously never driven hard enough, or in enough batshit crazy traffic to realize the benefits it has over a manual, manual is better for weekends, automatic is better for weekdays.
Yes, and as we know, the occasional burst of youthful exuberance is the quickest way to an early grave. Superior deity of your choice FORBID there be anything resembling FUN in our lives! (Besides, sparring with the flamers is a good exercise to keep the online talons rapier-sharp and trocar-effective.)
Interesting definition of 'fun'. Just FYI, there is a definition for people who post comments with the intent of provoking flamers into some sort of emotional response (usually unpleasant). I think you know what that word is. But anyhow I learned something new from you about the ZL1 so I guess I owe you a thanks. But other than that I don't see the reason for continuing this dialogue. Be well and keep those online talons sharpened because online flamers are notorious for persistent stupidity
I wouldn't go so far as to say...Aircraft carrier...I mean...Those aren't huge...They're fvcking HYOOGE! But a B-52 or two wouldn't be that difficult to hide ;)
I think Chevrolet was dissappointed with the ZL1 which is why they made the Z28. It seems they finally made a 5th gen the way it should be. Big motor 427 with weight reduction. This car has a Cadillac motor (when they should have implanted the ZR1 motor) and it's just as heavy as the rest. This is CTS-V with a Chevy emblem.
Wrong video to do this tough guy. This channel is for adults and mature drivers/enthusiasts. I'm not a Camaro driver so don't even go there. Read all the other comments here and then read yours. Then you tell me if you do not sound ridiculous :)
I finally saw one today at lunch when a white s5 was keeping lace with me. I could only tell it was the big bit as a result of the quad exhausts... Which my m3 and the s5 both had. The driver was weaving in and out like a prick though.
You missed the whole point then. He was pointing out that 580 hp is basically worthless in traffic but even with that much power its drives like a normal car.
I see. Well, speaking the truth isn't always the most popular thing to do. You will often get flamed by people online for simply speaking the truth -- believe me I know. What I was going after was how your first comment sounded. With excessive use of HAAAA HAAAA and all the exclamation marks. It's not a crime to do that and no one's stopping you. But it does make you sound like you're 15... just my opinion.
"Chevrolet" Camaro. "American" Ingenuity. Designed by Australians (Holden). Built by Canadians (non-Americans). Still can't catch a comparable Mustang. HAAAAAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAA. What will you Bowtie boys do in 2015, when the Mustang gets IRS? Then you won't be able to touch one on the strip OR the track! HAAAAAA HAAAAAA HAAAAAA!!!
