2012 Dodge Grand Caravan Fuel Pump Relay Bypass

It includes that black cable with the spade connector. I used the battery terminal because I conveniently had that post to put it on, but it's just a ground, so any good grounding point will work. If you can't find one, you could even use a self tapping screw and attach it to sheet metal inside the engine bay, so long as the metal is grounded back to the battery. You can use a multimeter to test for continuity between your grounding point and the negative battery terminal.

If the starter isn't running when you try to start the car, you have a different problem. Fuel pump problems will just prevent the engine from starting, it won't stop it from trying to start. Should sound like 1:17. It it started like this and now doesn't turn over at all, you probably just drained the battery trying to run the starter and will need to charge it before you can test the fuel pump.

I wouldn't think so. My symptoms were primarily at initial start. Without the car running, the battery alone wasn't making enough voltage to activate the factory fuel pump relay, so it wouldn't start. I could jumpstart it because the donner car was making enough voltage to trip the fuel pump and after the car was running, the alternator was providing enough to keep it on. For your situation, my best guess would be something in the backup circuit that tells the computer you've put the car in reverse. Sounds like something there is maybe causing a surge or power drop in the car computer and causing it to reset?

@DANT98 yes , i was thinking the TiPm . The battery is still new from last year. Not sure what is the cause. All fluids are new. Only error i get was the rain sensing but thats through OBd. Mileage about 31k km. Yes it is still fresh..very seldom it happens just scary if incase it doesnt start

If you scroll down the product page for the $59 one, they have a good "differences" table. tl;dr: This will fix the problem just as well, but doesn't allow you to test your fuel pump with the vehicle off or have the disable switch. The $99 model also has twice the warranty (2 yrs) and implements it's own MOSFET relay for the pump rather than using the vehicle run/start relay.

Yes, the bypass module is intended to be a permanent replacement. It's been working since I installed it w/ no issues.
