It is called ambient meter. it changes color to reflect your driving style. Green: fuel efficient driving, while yellow is moderate acceleration and deceleration and white is aggressive acceleration and deceleration. Color changes in accordance with your brake or accelerator pedal operation.
Thanks :D My dad wants this, my mom wants an RDX lol. He is more practical and doesn't like to speed. He wants it in polished metal. He drove it Tuesday and liked how quiet the engine was, and how little noise there was. Have yet to see it tho. Goin tomorrow.
We have had our 2012 CR-V EX-L w/NAV in crystal black pearl for two weeks and 650 miles and we still absolutely love it. It gets more use than the 11 Odyssey lol.
My sister just bought a 2012 honda CR-V EX AWD in the opal seige color (she loves green) and I got to say it's really nice. She already put over 600 miles on it, we got it when it had only 5 miles on it fresh off the boat lol. The pros is that it drives nice, good power even though it only has 185 horsepower, the multi information screen is really great, the easiness of putting the seats down, and gas mileage. Cons are that the seats are a bit too soft for me. Would recommend this to anyone.
Just for comparison, the possible Asian CR-V will have projector HID headlamps, push button start, smart key access on all doors and bigger side mirrors with indicators. Those are from the Japanese spec ones so I hope it is carried over to Thailand so that we can get it here in the Philippines like that.
Our 2012 has 14,000 miles and no real issues other us getting the recall done today. Our 2011 Odyssey needed an engine replacement at 16,000 miles because it had a manufactures defect. Going to write Honda and ask then to give us an extended warranty. We've been their loyal costumers :( so angry that had to happen but every brand makes a dud. Shame we bought that one.
On the menu button there's an option on ''Lighting'' which is something like ''Fuel economy lights'' or something. It makes them stay on white all the time.
@TheJMP617 We have a 2008 CR-V and it also had the bigger side mirrors with indicators and the Projector-HID's. The only downside I can say about the Asian spec is that it never ever came with a sunroof.
the 2012-present Honda CR-V is assembled in East Liberty, Ohio, United States (ELAP) El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico (Honda Mexico) Sayama, Saitama, Japan Ayutthaya, Thailand (Honda Ayutthaya Plant) Alliston, Ontario, Canada (HCM) Karawang, Indonesia (Honda Karawang Plant) Swindon, England (HUKM) Wuhan, China (Dongfeng Honda)
I wish my dad gets one! If he gets one, it would be great since he used to drive my grandfather's '98 CR-V from time to time then I forced him to buy an '03 and he even made the letters from the license plate my initials then he decided to sell it last 2008 for a 2008 Accord but since we have an '04 he bought an '08 CR-V (SX-L) instead. I'm trying to force him to get this as my first car next year.
When are you guys scheduled to get the CRV launch? I launched the Civic and the Odyssey there last year. I was moved to the west coast this time. Structuring the walkaround will shorten up and make your presentation more efficient.
I test drove this car today(FWD version). Awesome vehicle, beautiful ride. The only turn-off are those old-fashioned headlights. When is Honda going to get with the program in the US and build their CRVs with projection beam headlamps and HID options! The CRV in other countries has projectors. Toyota and Mazda are way ahead of them in that regard.
@bluebirdgmc83 I forgot to mention the SMS text message capability too. It will read them outloud to you and you can send pre-loaded messages as well :)
I'd be curious to drive this 2012 CR-V. I'm really not a fan of small CUVs, but I recently got to try out my cousin's 2011 CR-V EX-L. I think its interior quality is really good, as I would expect from Honda, but I just really did not like how it drives: for being such a small utility vehicle, I kind of hated how tall and sloshy it felt, and it also felt underpowered to me, but I feel like a 6 speed auto might have solved that problem.
@rickslick730 Yeah I was just as disappointed. My cousin has an 2002 with only 55,000 miles as well and its a great car, just needs more power lol But thanks for the compliment! and thanks for subscribing :)
@jorrogboe I'm sure that cars are going to get fancier but then you think about interior quality in the mid-class car brands and computer glitches, since basically everything in cars today are controlled by computers

crv is awesome had an 05, but bought an f-150 because of the more power, if honda put a V6 id def buy a CRV, and it has to be able to tow if i gets a v6 haha
hey, thanks so much! that is quite a difference between your choices lol I almost bought a GTI before I bought my Fit but I just didnt feel like spending the extra money. Both are great cars tho :)
@TheUndergroundAce quit trying to convince me to choose the equinox. I'm not a GM person and that will NEVER change. I would rather get a Ford product over anything GM makes. Its just my taste but if you like GM than good for you, not everyone will agree with you.
Only thing I didn't like about the CR-V, at least the previous model was the hash ride of the suv. I live in Michigan and the roads here are pretty bad.
@TheUndergroundAce Oh please, you think I don't know what the competition offers as well? Sure the CR-V needs another gear and more power but the majority of buyers in this segment dont care. The CR-V still gets up to 31 MPG with a 5AT, the equinox may be rated at 32 but it struggles to achieve that in the real world and its much heavier and slower than the CR-V with the 4cyl. The Kia Sportage is cool but the ride is too stiff for me and its not as roomy Ford's new escape will be better anyways
@xoquixxoqafxo Kia does the same thing too! Pisses me off. Like the Borrego in other countries had cooler talk lights headlight washers and I think a power lift gate but I'm not 100% sure. The site was hard to read because it was in korean lol.
