Its the bottom of the shock absorber bushing, it has ripped and bottomed out and everytime you go over a bump it will click. Test it yourself, put the jeep in park and push on the bumper corners of all 4 sides and have someone go underneath and watch as the shocks slip in and out of the bushing hole where the bolt goes through. Just had this problem on my 2010 unlimited today
I have a similar noise, got the dealership to replace my drag link, it helped, but I think one of my tie rod ends needs to be swapped out too, Bc it’s still there just not as bad. Never had an issue until I put TF leveling kit on (just spacers and sway bar links) and new wheels/tires
I should have replied to everyone a long time ago, sorry guys. It turned out to be something really stupid. The bracket for one of the front brake lines came loose somehow, and the bolt was lost. So the metal bracket was hitting the suspension (I forget exactly where) everytime I hit a bump. It's all fixed now.
I had the same problem with mine and had enough. I got under it and come to find out the little slid clip for the calipers broke off and was letting the brake pad wobble around in side the bracket.. from the naked eye it looked fine but when I touched it to see if it would move it did. So my suggestion is to get under the jeep and shake the parts up and down left to right. And if it's not supposed to move like that. then replace it.
My 2014 is doing this! Makes rattling sound, especially over bumps, but stops when I even just barely touch the brakes. Where do I get clips if this is the case?
This is 100 % your drag link and tierod bar flipping up and down when you hit bumps. I just replaced mine and the noise is gone. And they do not move that freely brand new off the lot like some will have you believe.
I keep hearing something similar. Was gonna put my go pro up too to figure it out. Got underneath and couldn't find anything loose or obviously broken. Did you figure it out?
I have similar noise and I can see the tie rod rotate by my hand. I'm sure the joints became softer and generates the rattles. Before was not this soft
Check your ball joints, I had a noise like chirping when driving slowly next to a building, thought it had to be the brakes but it was ball joints, no more balance problems and no more noise and no more death wobble.
Just watch this stupid video and took it a pond my self to narrow down the problem. For me it was the low control arm bracket on the drive side. 2015 Jeep Wrangler. I hope to help someone out
