I agree. The thing IS a masterpiece. I took mine to a local track day event. It was fun, but the novelty wore off after realizing how heavy this thing is when trying to stop from 145mph or turn... I'm glad I did it though.

ML63 is a monster SUV. You should turn off all the traction control and run that 1/4mile again. There's a procedure to turn it off for maintance reasons but you can drive it that way also until the ignition is turned off, then the traction controls are automatically reengaged.

you have the performance package? if not you would get prob 12.5-12.6 if you did.

the AMG suv's get a usual tq. converter auto, wet clutch probably can't do towing or maybe AWD limitations

Thanks for that video, I was really interested in how the amg ran down the track. Took my 2013 ml550 down the track for the first and probably only time last night. I only ran it twice, but my first run was 12.888 @ 109mph, second was 13.026 @ 108. Obviously Mercedes extremely underrated the power of the 408hp ML550. This thing makes 500hp running almost similar times to your bigger engine V8. It is a stock Canada built vehicle. Have you done a tune on yours since this video?

get this with renntech ecu tuning and down pipe and you will hit early 11's if not high 10's. its worth it and your gona love you beauty more and more. ;)

That thing is a Masterpiece. If you consider, how luxurious it is, how reliable, how big and comfortable, it's insane. To a lot of people those cars are just gas wasting crap cars, to me, that's hightech engineering. You get a car like that, out of the factory, take it to the dragstrip, "kill" some beefed cars, then go offroad, after that pick up your family and go for a holiday trip. All you have to do is clean up your car. Very impressive.

it is too heavy, it can't go fast trough curves.... is a car for Americans, I mean, for people that doesn't know what a curve is, for people that drive in circles or in a straight line :D

It's the handling, which is very lifeless for an M model, and considering that it's an X5, you'd expect it to be better.

WOW goes to show my ML63 W163 is actually faster, I do a 12.622 1/4 and it's just a big raw 6.2L V8 no turbos just N/A

The X5M is terrible.

It's the same but uglier,more expensive,slower and a gas guzzler.Oh and you are not going to do a lot of off road with a 275/50/20 tire
