An Irish TV commentator bringing us very colorful comments on this "Laser Radial" (boat) race ... PS : You MUST listen attentively to the subtlies of the english language. Put the speakers LOUD !
Compared to the Peacock coverage for the 2024 Paris Olympics, this is the greatest announcer in the history of sport. The Peacock guy is ruining it for sailing.
I feel like they grabbed some rando on a boat ramp who knows a little more about competitive sailing than I (a casual recreational sailboat racer, emphasis on casual) do, and shoved a mic in his hands.
It's really hard to explain the humor behind this. It's just so absurdly ridiculous for the commentator to say a thing like that considering, in actuality, a beam of that length wouldn't be considered controversial at all, as it is most definitely an olympic standard. Like.....c..ontroversial to whom, and why? I dunno man (or wo-man), it's just really silly nonsense, like the rest of the video; some of the best I've ever seen too.
You join us! For the 30th olympiad. And, uh, we're at the salin'. Yeap. There ya can hear the, uh, the olympic horn being sounded. Signifies there's only four minutes left of this race and it's looking very close...and ... confusing. Alicia Cebrian Martinez de Lagos, from Espanol, and she's at 26 points, whatever that means, mind yer head! She nearly got fucked out of it there. And very confusing scenes here we don't know who's in the lead...is that Russia at the far left?
Archery is a good sport yes, indeed. I would also take that above handball, but how are two shieldwall like teams jumping almost their own height and throwing bombs into the small goal not worthy of being called a sport?
Do you really think this is real? The guy is a comedian called "The Viper" from Irish tv show "Hardy Bucks".. Its on youtube you should watch it veryy funny
Jay Hernewacke fun fact the Viper actually English, his name is Chris Tordoff and he’s originally from Leeds but has lived in Ireland for a long time, same as the guy who played Eddie Durkan with him in Hardy Bucks
No you didn't. But name me a sport in the Olympics that is more deserving than handball? There is boxing and wrestling, those are the only sports I would take over handball. The rest is just running, swimming and throwing things as far as you can?
I do like the Olympics but I think the numbers of sports should be cut down. I mean seriously sailing, handball and other crap like that? Time to trim a lot of stuff out.
