I use this to and works great. Just remember if you live in a state with inspections every year to take the range out a day or two before inspection because it will throw a code in the obd and fail inspection.
John Steel I knew my 2007 5.3 AFM was not working properly for a long time. When new, it was seamless and smooth. At some point, it started "sticking" in V4 mode. Press the gas a little more and it would go to V8 but it vibrated, hesitated and was unpleasant. The dealer service dept was not helpful so I lived with it. After I freed up the exhaust recently, it became intolerable. So I got the Range AFM Disabler about a week ago, resigning myself to losing about 1 mpg. I was not prepared for what happened next. In my daily commute, my average mpg goes up and down a little but would return to a best of 19 mpg with AFM. I have only had the Range on for a week but the WORST average mpg I've seen so far has been better than my best before. 20 mpg is the new normal with a best of 20.4 The drive is much more pleasant as well. No downside so far! I'm sure this is because my AFM was not "right".
