I was a Honda service adviser for a few years. I do miss seeing the brand new Honda's getting their PDI's...loved test driving the news ones. These videos allow me to relive a little bit of that and update myself on the newer models. I am really liking this new Accord. From all of the videos I have seen, Honda has really knocked this one out of the park. Thanks again for the video. I will check out your latest one, too. :-)

HPJ- I thought I'd mention that I've had my '13 Honda Accord since last November, and I LOVE IT! It handles great, looks sharp, and I'm getting an average of 29 mpg city and 36 hwy. All those naysayers about the CVT transmission are wrong, IMHO. I recommend it highly.

Thanks for the support!! The Econ button is good to use all the time or when you want. It doesn't hurt the engine at all and can be switched on or off anytime. The cool trunk feature is only on the cars with the new 'smart key' because you don't normally have the key in your hand so it could easily be tossed in the trunk with a coat or bag :-) HPJ

Great question, Honda uses a timing chain on all their 4 cyl engines in the U.S and a timing belt on the 6 cyl.

My Aunt & Uncle bought a brand new 2013 Honda Accord EX-L in April of 2013. They still have for three years now. I showed the Tips & Tricks of the Accord video you made. They're still loving their Accord. My Aunt & Uncle wanted me to "Thank You!" the video you made. My first car was a '97 Civic EX. My next vehicle is 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L. I'm going get the 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L next year. Any different between the '05 Pilot EX-L compare to the '17 Pilot EX-L? Your loyal fan!!!

That feature on the trunk locking is fantastic. In 2000 I took my Acura 3.2TL on a trip, I accidentally dropped my keys in the trunk and locked them in, I was 1,000 miles from home and 100 miles from the nearest dealer! Luckily a wrecker driver was able to get into the car and trip the emergency trunk release! A feature like this new model has could really save the day!

I have to admit--when I read the title, I said to myself "tips and tricks? What tips and tricks could there be?" --I just purchased this car online at carvana-due to be delivered in one week-and I've been very excited to watch these video reviews because I don't have my hands on this car yet...I was impressed...you DID show me tips and tricks that I had not seen on the other videos and specs sheets! Jason, you have no idea how helpful this video was. I had no idea I could sync my song collection from my phone to my car. You didnt talk about how you do that. It would be really helpful if you could help me out. I know how to connect my phone via bluetooth. Thats pretty much it.

Thanks Honda !! Used to lock my keys in the trunk every other day!! But thanks to your game changing technology, now I don't have to get my spare key !! Push button start, keyless entry, AND bluetooth with wipers that turn the lights on automatically!! You guys should be the industry standard😂❕ROFLMAO❕ this was entertaining though...Blind spot mirrors are cheap, and don't fail too often 😁👍❕

Yes you should only use 0w-20 do to the very tight engine clearances and the bearings of the EarthDreams engine. Honda recommends using a very thin oil. The problem can occur in colder weather when the oil can get thick. Thanks for the question Jason

Great question. The lane departure warning can be turned off and on by a button on the drivers side. The Lane watch mirror/camera can also be turned off by a setting in the menu screen. Almost all features and lights can be customized ON or OFF. HPJ

All the Bluetooth phone and audio will work along with the photos on the 8" screen. You can customize the gauge lights and a few others

Good question, Yes the Honda Tech will check and fill the tire pressure. There is no charge, this service is included with the oil and filter change.

I emailed you but thought I would reply here also ;-) When the touch screen goes off can you turn it back on by touching it? Or is the only way it turns on is by restarting the car? You can only save music to the hard drive off a CD. The wallpaper pictures can be downloaded from a USB drive (not a phone) by going into settings and selecting wallpaper. It will then let you select a slot to down load a jpeg. Please let me know if you have any further questions Thank You, Jason

I've just subscribed, because your videos are most helpful for all Honda users, not just those in Illinois! Mind if I ask a question? I decided to try riding in "Econ" mode on my Accord LX, and I like it. Does it hurt the car to ride only in "Econ" mode? Does it hurt the car to switch back and forth from regular to Econ? And I was wondering about locking the keys accidentally in the trunk! Thank you for your time.

Bluetooth, Bluetooth audio, power seat, back up camera and auto headlights BUT the sport also ADDS duel exhaust, red lite gauges, sport seats, 18" alloys and a tighter suspension. ( its my favorite trim level)

Any tricks after you jump start a 2013 Honda accord v6..my problem is the dashboard I have on Indicators on that not supposed to be on like for example the brake light

Hey Jason why does my touch display go off sometimes while I'm driving but comes back on after I restart the car? also how do you download pictures and mucic to the hard drive, I put in my flash drive with pictures and music but I couldn't find a way to get them over to the hard drive, it would play music but wouldn't download them. thanks, Kim

Do you have a sunroof now? How often do you use it? Remember you can always go with a aftermarket roof.

Just curious, when Honda vehicles are serviced, for example, a simple oil change, will the Honda technicians, inflate tires to specified PSI, or will that have to be requested? If we do have to request it, is there any charge?

I have the 2013 Sport but it seems to have a pretty weak torque. I usually lose a race to my friend who has a 2005 2.5 altima with less HP and Torque. Any reason why?

You're right, back when my sunroof worked there was maybe only 3 months out of the year where I could use it. The motor stopped running on the sunroof in my 95 Acura Integra so I haven't used it in years. Aftermarket roof is a good idea but after reading some of the horror stories online about leaks and such I wouldn't take the risk.

I know when its playing thru USB you can see all your music. I have to check on Monday about the Bluetooth. Did you know your car has song by voice? you can press the talk button on the steering wheel and just say a track or artist on your Ipod/Iphone and it will find it and play it ;-) very cool feature. Not all of them :-/ The Sport model looses side camera, smart key keyless start, lane watch departure, touch screen for the radio and sunroof. The Sport adds red gauges, sport trim inside, amazing looking wheels, rear spoiler and dual exhaust. Thanks for the question. Jason

Finally a video different from other salesman videos. One minor comment: Please use a camera with better stabilization mode. The cam you're using is too shaky. Also, would appreciate more editing so your video is short and very informative. Can u pls show the replacement of cabin air filter next time as well as how to disable the auto play of BT music player when turning on the car? Thanks again for the tips and tricks.

dear Jason, can i know whether Accord 2013 audio USB apart from playing MP3 songs, can the USB support to play MP4 format movie media file ? meaning you copy the MP4 movie flies and play the files via USB pendrive plug in and play the MP4 file in the big screen 8" display screen .... i wish to know this. i yet buy Accord as in my country the 2013 Accord yet launch. Jason: you said the daytime running lights are projectors. I think you may have your terminology wrong. The low beam headlights are projectors. The DRLs are still used from the reduced wattage of the high beams!
