I watched your first and second video. Your attention to detail made the videos easy to work with with tear down and rebuild of car and module. I followed each step, stopped the video, did each step, then restarted where I left off until the cue screen was attached and back in the 2014 srx car working. Now, understand that I am not mechanically inclined so the entire job for me was 6 hours with a few breaks in between but I myself was able to get it done. Thank you.
I can not thank you enough, tooke me about 2 hrs(I AM EXTREMELY DESAPOINTED OF CADILLAC DEALER FOR NOT TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE, THEY WANT $1500 TO REPLACE THE HOLE UNIT...BULL SHIT!!!) any ways, super happy, now I can enjoy full fumtions of my CUE system again after almost a year.
Fantastic replacement screen! Great customer service! My 2014 SRX had been replaced with an OEM replacement before I bought it in 2020. I ordered the wrong early version QUE screen. CUEscreens exchanged for the V2018. I only paid the difference for the higher cost V2018 screen and shipping. CUEscreens included a return shipping label. The V2018 cuescreen is better than the OEM. Clairty is outstanding. Replacement was exactly like the videos demonstrated. This is a DIY to save you $1500! Thank you CUEscreens for a great product and great service!
Completed replacement on SRX this morning. Took about 2.5 hours start to finish. Watch the videos as it makes the process much more understandable. With patience and attention to detail it’s a straightforward process. There doesn’t appear to be a re-install video so played the disassembled video backwards. Saved about $1300 based on cost of this unit plus car trim removal kit of about $160 and dealer quote of about $1500.
I agree with everything Matt just said. The videos were very well put together and made the process as easy as possible. The replacement screen for my 2016 SRX went flawlessly thanks to the well made product and the instructional video. Kudos.
Very helpful video, thank you so much. However, I disagree with just loosening the forward bolt on the side trim (at approx. 0:55). By not removing it you risk breaking one of the tabs (as I did, but no big deal) and it certainly makes it much more difficult to put it back in when completing the job.
Ordered for our 2014 SRX, shipped/received promptly, emailed questions and both responded to within 24 hours (1-if needed you can run the car without the unit and 2-the screen does not have to be recalibrated as outlined in the owners manual). Started the remove/replace project at 9:30 this Saturday, done by noon. If you've taken off trim or door cards of cars before this should be a job you can do with the help of the excellent videos, 1 video showing how to remove the unit from your particular model, the second video for screen removal and replacement. We are VERY happy with the results. The new faster response time of the premium unit is so much nicer and it does not seem to have the capacitive touch, haptic feedback of the old screen (but I'm not technical so don't trust me on this part) which I found so annoying. This screen is tons better. I can highly recommend CUEScreens.
how do you remove the door/compartment in front of the gearshift. I see where you removed the trim piece at 1:30- the door on my SRX will not close, I think something slipped inside the cavity..
Black screen has nothing to do with the touch screen. Replacing the touch screen to try and solve black screen issues is a misdiagnosis- like replacing your tires to fix an oil leak. cuescreens.com/black-screen
@@CUESCREENS okay, thanks! I didn't and it worked out fine. Awesome product. Convincing everyone I know to just change it now before theirs fail. My wife just bought a use 2014 SRX, and it started failing 6 months after she got it. Super easy to do with the video. the instructions helped so much and it was so clear. Anyone can do it. Thanks so much.
