Hey lehew, you are the bomb !!!! I had an appointment this morning for an inspection sticker and my A/C blower to work. I knew it worked on and off. So being 63 years old and not used to this all electronic stuff. Back in the day if I wanted to fix my blower motor I just can't find the wiring fuse in a heartbeat but not today. So talking to my son like I do every week I told him about it and he told me to go on you tube and might find something about it. You were the second choice first one sucked. When I clicked on you it was clear and to the point. I followed everything you said and the last thing honestly the last thing on your video the blower started working. So people should always watch to the end. You probably just saved me money that is tight for me. Sorry for being so long winded but you made me a follower for you.. Thanks for being the real deal. !!!!!
your the best tutorial ever. 50% talk while 50% work. not unlike other who keep on talking non sense and crap. keep doing what you doing, more power to you. I will send your video to all that I know.
My brother-in-law was over from Louisiana to help move my daughter. I live in Baytown Texas, and it is still warm here! While in the process of towing a U-Haul trailer from Baytown to Pasadena the AC in his F150 just stopped working like the switch was turned off. When we got back to Baytown we started troubleshooting trying to find a solution. He watched some videos on RU-vid but we couldn’t find the answer. However, I found your video and bingo!!!! The culprit was a loose connection under the dash!!!! Thanks much for this video!!!! Kept him from having to drive 4 hours back home WITHOUT AC!!!!!!!
Your video helped me avert a crisis this morning. 20 degrees out and the blower motor stopped working. Checked all the fuses , switched them around and nothing. Then just wiggled the wiring going to the blower motor on the passenger side and off it went!! The cold here does some crazy things to pipes and wires etc... Thanks again!!
Awesome...I had replaced the resistor first, then the wiring harness. My next thought was blower replacement until I found this. My relay was loose.....thanks a million..
Great information. Clear and concise. I followed the steps and gave the blower motor a good whack. Viola, it worked. Obviously, the blower motor is going. At least I know what to replace. Thanks.
Thank you for this video and explanation of the fuses and relay locations! I had been trying to figure out why my blower would not turn on and turns out it was the 40 amp fuse! New fuse in and I am good as new!
Thanks for the info, i just pulled out the relay and all 3 fuses and made sure they were back in and secured. Magic now the blower works, didnt even have to change anything!!
Man if you are ever in So Cal hit me up because I owe you a pitcher of beer!!. So happy I came across your video, there were others with "fix it solutions" but your video was the best thought out!. I went through all your steps and turns out hitting the bottom of the blower fan man it start again. Yes, I need a new blower fan soon but at least I have AC and heat again. Thanks again for posting this video!!
I got to say you did an absolutely fantastic job of explaining your points you also did not go into a call video about you know life history and and people down the street and yada yada yada you did an absolutely fantastic job and I got to tell you one of the few one of the few people that make videos on RU-vid for something like this that get to the point 2 minute times guys or girls try to do that make a video and you lose the point because there's so much noise with everything else you know so anyway thank you very much I'm actually having that problem with my blower motors 2013. Once again thank you very much
Thanks bro. My blower doesn't seem to be blowing like/when it's supposed to. For a while it was blowing when I didn't have the A/C or heat on... it stayed on all the time. Now I can even tell if it's on and I don't even feel moving air.
Thanks for this straight and to the point video without ridiculous music and 22 minutes of needless opining on camera to explain 5 minutes worth of actual useful information. My '13 Lariat starting having an issue where by when starting the truck in the morning the console switch for turning on the AC will illuminate as normal but there is no blower motor activation. After about 5 minutes (or more) the blower will turn on. It has been unusually humid in my area of the country (consistently 75-85%) for the past couple of weeks which may or may not have anything to do with the issue. But, my thought was the humidity might be causing a (possibly) failing relay, switch, connection, etc to have issues. My hope is one (or all) of the items in your video remedy the situation. Also, have you ever heard of or witnessed this generation F150 having the 'service advancetrac' and 'check brakes' indicators come on when the truck is at idle for 5-10 minutes with AC running on very humid days? Almost as if condensation is forming and getting into a harness or other area causing a short? I have had this issue for years and it *only* happens when it is particularly humid outside with maximum condensation. This never - not even once- happens on low humidity days (i.e. in cooler dryer weather this issue is unrepeatable - has to be humid out.)
Great informational video, I'll check right now. I hope something here will stop the blower motor "DOOR" from constantly banging just before blowing something out . . .
Thanks! Checked the relay, all the fuses, and the connections to the motor. After doing that it kicked right on. Something must have been a little loose.
I checked all the fuses. No good. As soon as I went to remove the blower motor cover that you show at the end, fan kicked on immediately lol. Thanks for the help
I replaced my blower motor resistor. It was only working on 4. It works on all settings now. What it is doing now is, it runs for 20 seconds and dies down to nothing.
AC blower doesn’t blow hard on max AC when adjusted. All levels work accordingly but when I push Max AC the blower speed doesn’t not change. Stays stuck on regular speed
excellent video , maybe next video you could show us checking the resistor and homing the motor wiring , but I do appreciate the quality of what you produced
My power steering went out and it’s a billion dollars for the parts and labor etc. you just confirmed that the blower motor which is also not working anymore as of late shares the same fuse and the power steering. Maybe replacing that fuse could be the resolve. Fingers crossed. Thanks
I went to remove the fuse by the front right kick panel. Truck was running. I just touched the panel covering the blower motor and it came on. Bad connection at the blower motor wire. Thank you for an easy fix!!
I have a 2013 Ford F-150 and I changed the blower motor but I’m still having trouble . Every time I hit a bump or a pot hole the air starts to work ? Any ideas what it might be ?
Hi the blower motor is changing speeds on its own, and randomly works off and on. Do think it could be the resistor going out? It seems to work ok for the first 10 minutes; then starts acting up.
So I put a new relay in. And same result no motor but if I jump the terminal and bypass the relay it works. New blower motor, New resistor, all fuses are good. 40, 10 and 5.
I checked the relay, fuses, fan, wiring harness but my blower won't adjust fan speed. It's just stuck in a mid-speed and occasionally goes high speed then goes back down to mid-speed. Any suggestions?
What causes the blower motor in a Ford only to work in one or two positions of speed I lost number one number two and now number three and now only number four speed works
Great information looking to change all fuses tbh but if my issue isn’t fixed what could it be? And full speed blower sounds good but only blows like if it was at half speed setting and on the low speed setting little to no air comes out, also installed a new compressor and ac isn’t blowing ice colds still? Could it be a condenser? Or how do you know for sure if I have a bad evaporator which I hope I don’t, Heater works great tho
My 2011 keeps blowing that #3 relay. I know my defrost Actuator is stuck )probably Ford foam issue) but any thoughts on wjat isncausing #3 to go? Replaved it twice now this week
Dear thanks for the good information my Ford f150 2012 5.0 the dashboard is dead the radio fan and evrythink is working good buy my speedmeter dashboard is all dead out of nothing do you know what the problem is
Man, I got a 2013 5.0 eco boost. My blower motor and heat was on but was in able to turn them off , being a work truck the wire harness going into the resistor got kicked and exposed wires. The blower quit working and with it being winter and rushing it got shoved at and twisted and ended up popping back on. Last WK it got kicked again and wouldn't come back on. I realized that the resistor plug was melted a bit. I went and bought a new resistor, installed and no fan... The lights on the control panel is on but no fan when I twist the knobs. I then buy a new heater motor, install and still no heat. I checked all fuses, checked the relay you showed but the fan won't blow!!! Help man, so desperate. I spent 105 on the wrong resistor.. got a duel zone... Went and bought the none duel zone because I couldn't return the first one. So I'm out $210 then the new motor for 154.00 it's my work truck and I need to sort it out. Any advice my guy??
my 2013 F150 Lariat Ac does not come on when pressing buttons. after a while it finally comes on and gets cold. I took it to the dealer and a relay was replaced. it worked for one day and is back to not coming on when controls are set to cool. the dash lights up but no airflow. What do you think?
