Thanks for the instructions, Jack ! I had this exact issue with my 2013 F150 today, broken piece exactly like yours. I didn't have a swivel socket, but I was able to use some mini vice grips and angled a 7mm 1/4 socket to get the most difficult bolt screw out by hand with some patience. You saved me a trip to the service center, much appreciated!!!

It’s a common issue. The official fix is to pull the dash to replace that recirculation door, but I recently saw a video on RU-vid where someone was able to replace it without pulling the dash. It might be worth looking into that if you’re wanting to fix it!
@@jackhfletcher you know, I only use max AC and I took that piece out and put the blower motor back in (sending the new one back) and it blows good and cold enough in this 90° Mississippi weather so that’s good enough for me.
