In this video, I drain and fill the front differential gear oil on a 2013 F150 Platinum.
I used a vacuum tool and 1/4 inch tube to suck the gear oil out. The capacity spec. for the front differential is 1.66 liters or 1660 ml (3.5 pints). I was able to suck out 1540 ml.
With a fluid pump tool, I added 100 ml (4 oz) of XL-3 Motorcraft friction modifier and aprox 1600 ml Motorcraft 80W 90 gear oil. That was too much oil (on purpose), so I let the fluid flow out the fill hole until it slowed to a small trickle. Then, I installed the fill plug with thread sealant and torqued to 18 lbft.

SECTION 205-03: Front Drive Axle/Differential
The Torsen® front differential case houses the parallel axis planetary helical side gears to which the axle halfshafts are splined. It is the unique arrangement of the differential that allows the continuous, uninterrupted torque output and allows the axle halfshafts to be driven at different speed when needed, such as when driving around corners. There are no clutch plates or discs in this axle design. The Torsen® differential requires 4.0 oz of friction modifier to be added with the axle lubricant. The axle shafts are retained in this differential with the circlips.
