This Infinity QX80 has (had) a troublesome "smart charging" system that kept the battery dead. Disconnect the wires at the negative terminal. Problem solved.
@Taj7 LOL - there is a safety pin that you need to either pull or compress and then you should be able to pull it out. I can't remember which way it goes.
