He was firm but fair here, in actuality he did in fact "shut him down", but in a way that showed genuine empathy for the man's concerns. A great speaker.

Actually he didn't shut the guy down, he allowed him to express his opinion, even if it went on a little too long. Others were trying to shut him up or throw him out. Obama redirected the conversation toward reality, without shaming anyone. Brilliant guy.
He genuinely stopped, listened and gave him the legal path - The right path - To ensure that his actions and his anger towards the situation wasn't just justified but also handled in a professional matter that'll stick. I think that's crazy incredible. I just wish the US could have another incredible leader who listens like this so that our neighbours get someone who genuinely cares about the state of your great nation.

I was raised in a very conservative family, so I never really was a fan of Obama mainly due to parroting my parents' beliefs (who weren't and still aren't fans of him). As I've gotten older, my respect for this man has grown immensely. Regardless of whether you agree with his policies and political views, he acts as a president should. He's professional. He's respectful. He's kind-hearted. He's charismatic. Regardless of which side you're on, you should at least be able to see all of that. Glad that he was our first black president.

Obamacare was great until it got butchered to be more expensive. They removed multiple provisions within it that would help pay for it. Technically, it is still cheaper than the system we had before, but it could be better with some of those things back.

My 2 cents. This isn't how a president SHOULD respond. This goes above and beyond. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that the POTUS is obligated to respond to a heckler, but he did. We haven't had a president this connected to the people in the modern era, and I really miss him. I gained my citizenship, and it was only possible because of his DACA program. He got too fed up with bureaucracy, and took matters into his own hands to the extent he could. I think the legality of that program will be debated for years to come, but it made real life-changing outcomes happen for millions of us. I don't know of a recent president that singlehandedly achieved that.

Love him or hate him, there is no denying that Obama is one of the most charismatic presidents we’ve ever had. His ability to keep his composure and his professionalism speaks volumes.
A few things. Think he’s way better than Trump, but I didn’t agree with his use of false promises during the election to get votes (all candidates do it, but still). In particular, “la promesa”. His promise for immigration reform, it never happened. Not all his fault, but it was still a false promise. Also with the overall structure of Obamacare.
