2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser - WR TV POV Test Drive 

Best test drive I've seen. No idle chit-chat. Love the car.

This car is awesome. It is as off-road capable as a wrangler and is more reliable than anything on the road. It has a lot of plastic, but everything is tight and good quality. Its a shame Toyota is taking this out of production. I wanted a second one.

Love mine, couldn't be happier.

Finally got my '13 Magma Orange FJC with all the bells and whistles!!! Mine has light gray leather seats, silver 5-spokes. I can go anywhere in it no matter the weather or terrain. Loving it!

A 2014 still cost $36,000 (CAD), 2009 best i can find was $15,000, truly a beast of a ride.

The only reason I don't have a '13 FJ is because I couldn't find one anywhere nearby in a color that was palatable. I love the '13 4Runner Trail I got instead but my heart was set upon one of these.

@jackkangaroo1 the fj is a shortened version of the 120 platform aka prado, 4runner, gx470. Buy one of those and you get a lwb 4 door fj.

i gotta say i love my FJ. a bunch of my friends have jeeps and ive driven a them and i can tell you the FJ handles better, sounds better, and i personally think it looks better. Also, the suicide doors are sick :)

Listened on studio monitors, Beyerdynamic DT-770, left my 3 woofers on for rumble effects. Really did a good job conveying what it sounds like to daily drive this truck. There was a little bit of mic clipping during acceleration bits which might be alleviated with some gain adjustment, but otherwise sounded very good :D

Tested one years ago Ow my wife wants to upgrade from dodge nitro to an 10fj So back looking at them I upped from a 04 pathfinder To a 19 f250 crew cab (Yes I had to say that, it’s bad f’nass) can’t wait to mod them both

i used to underestimate this car cuz it looked weird, but then i became a car guy lmao. its a nice car and you see them alot in conneticut. maybe i might get one as a first.

Why did they go with steel rims? Is it suppost to be more rugged and durable going offroad? I don't get how they went from alloys to steels.

Turned someway with the Fj to allow the 4runner room to grow. With thier Trd pro lineup on the 4runner, it really makes sense. And the bottom line. Toyota would never stop manufacturing a top selling or even a selling vehicle modem if it made financial sense. To Toyota the Fj numbers weren't making sense. Outside if the unique style, I think the Fj and 4runner share a lot of similar feature with body on frame, turnoff performace. But then 4runner has a wider market. It can come in the limited model, for the older mature folks or even executive type individuals, tonthenextreme Ted pro. The Fj, style really screams out young college student, not that its bad. I personally love this and perfer this over the junk jeep wrangler. But do really see the average American household or even slightly older crowd driving this, if it were offered as luxury limited package. It was too aggressive looking.

Toyota needs to take a cue from Jeep and make a legitimate 4 door version of this thing. After decades of 2 door Wranglers Jeep created the Unlimited 4 door version and the public loves it. Toyota should stretch the FJ by another six inches, put in four full doors and you'd have an awesome vehicle. But unless you don't intend to have more than one passenger, the FJ's present configuration is just too inconvenient, which is why I opted for the Nissan Xterra instead.
